Seeing Roger waters live is awesome, but it’s definitely seeing Roger live and not Pink Floyd. In terms of actually feeling like a Pink Floyd show Brit Floyd is about as close as it gets nowadays
It is hard to explain to someone who hasn’t seen them just how great they are. It’s true that calling them a “tribute band” does not do them justice. I did the VIP thing in Denver and seeing them flawlessly perform Brain Damage/Eclipse in the soundcheck with maybe 15 people total in the audience was almost criminal. On top of it all they seem like genuinely humble down-to-earth people. Next year they are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Wish You Were Here which will be an incredible show!
@@TotalityFilms eh no. Their music was meant to be listened to high. I come from a music family and my great uncle is a sound engineer that started going to pink floyd concerts in the mid-70s. Trust me, watching brit play completely sober is a blatant disrespect to the original music.
There are lots of tribute bands... to put Brit Floyd in the same category with the others is ridiculous! This so called tribute band sounds better and puts on a better show than 99% of the original bands regardless of genre. It's not often that you can go to a concert these days and feel like you got every penny worth of the ticket price! I actually felt like I needed to leave a tip for the band when it was over.
Right? I never had a chance to see an original Pink Floyd show, but I'm so glad Brit Floyd exists to I can come as close to a genuine experience as I possibly can.
@@TotalityFilms I never got to see Pink Floyd either. Probably couldn't afford it. I saw Brit Floyd in April and I'm thinking seriously about driving 2 hours to see them again july 26
I saw Pink Floyd on 4 occasions, the first time in 1974 - my 1st ever concert at the age of 14 and then again on the Animals tour in I think 1977 and believe me these guys & girls are so so good and I would definitely go and see Brit Floyd before Roger Waters, any night of the week - unbelievably good 🙏🇬🇧
It’s not the land owners problem that the some crazy citizens can’t handle a 6 story building. You buy the land if you want to keep it an empty wasteland.
Glad no one was hurt. I hope they don't try to resurrect those plans again. 700 apartments is way too much. Imagine if they were all occupied. This story would have had a tragic ending.
It burned so badly because it wasn’t finished. When it get rebuilt and finished it’ll have sprinklers and fireproofing on the walls. Hope they rebuild, we really need housing here.
"Building huge structures out of wood seems so smart.: -------------------------------------------------------------- Generally speaking that's the current building code "ethics" for these huge complexes. Use cheap materials and don't include fire suppressants like firewalls or sprinklers. It could be disastrous for tenants, but such "ethics" maximizes profits for builders. And those profits are all that really matters, don't- cha-know.
