Deep Roots is a cultural arts and music festival that is located in historic downtown Milledgeville and composed of regional and national talents, artists, and vendors. It beckons travelers from all over with an antique car show, live entertainment ranging from bluegrass to rock-and-roll, artist market, and LittleRoots KidZone. The festival will also once again hold a GBA sanctioned BBQ cook-off contest featuring the ever-popular People's Choice award that will draw BBQ connoisseurs from around the Southeast.
One of the Best bands in "southern Rock" from the 1970s. Wet Willie was a great southern "funk" band that made them unique from The Allman Brothers , MTB, CDB, Lynyrd Sknyrd, etc. Jimmie Hall/ Donna Hall were the first female back up singers long before anyone else had them. So Wet Willie was truly an original band to be among the best of the best. Jimmie Hall is one of the last lead vocalists from that era who was an equal to Gregg Allman vocally. Macon Ga sure does produce some of the best musician's on the planet, absolute pure southern soul!!
On a studio version, from their album "Mine!", they joke about a flat tire after they do the odd numbers.
