It;s so nice to hear Chenier once again with a tenor with such squillo. While I have the most respect for Dessi, I don't think she touches Aprile Millo in this role, just my opinion. Love her in other things
I've never heard her performing this aria before. It was wonderful, lovable. I do love the way she gave drama, suffering, strength, resignation to the libretto. Heavenly! I am crying oceans right now thanks to Puccini and Dessi.

A me no, perché per me "coperto" non vuol dire "scurito" né sostenuto con tutta quella forza, come faceva Di Stefano, fra l'altro. Ha una bella voce come timbro, ma canta tutto forte, e questo mi insospettisce molto. Mi dispiace...

absolutley 100% correct-I agree with everything you say-especially about MDM always barking-he was scary too listen too sometimes.And well this requires big singing, but in a concert version-these 2 did nicely-I wonder about Fabio more than mrs. Fabio-great music though eh?
