Very late comment but I do wonder if Moes was coming based on what was missing. We never got a minifigure of Moe, Barney, Lenny or Carl. Now I know many big names never got made but these are four major Simpsons characters and none of them made either cmf series! At the time when Simpsons sets were being developed and sold the modular building at the time was the detectives office which featured a pool hall, maybe this was somewhat of a dry run to see how if a bar was re-branded a pool hall if there would be complaints. The set presumably would be called Moes or Moes pool hall, the word taven would be dropped, any duff signage would be changed to buzz and everybody would be drinking colas and flaming root beers. Another possible test was in the Simpsons house set, Marge is given a glass with a cherry piece draped on it, that looks a lot like a cocktail and her facial expression is a somewhat festive one, so its possible they wanted to see how many if any complains arose. Also on a complete side note can I share the thing that still stings the most about lego Simpsons is we never got a Jasper minifig. They referenced the geezer in a freezer joke in the kwik-e-mart set and did it with a sticker when a minifigure fits perfectly in the fridge area where the tile with the sticker is.
@@FastBrickStudios well its all guesses and speculation, If the Simpsons were revisited at some point in the future (dare to dream). I think lego's position on alcohol may have somewhat softened since 2015 if you look at the current medieval and viking type sets there are quite a few "drink" barrels with taps coming out of them and the inn has a tavern type vibe about it. So who knows maybe an 18+ set of moes isn't as far fetched as it once was
