I can relate to the love and hate at the same time. I was just recently in JA in July after a 30 year absence. I had loved JA from the first time I came and had wanted to live here. Not to say all was perfect in all my previous trips but this time was a mix of all good and bad. Didn’t help that I arrived two days after the last hurricane. I was so happy to be here but due to some people overcharging me for rides ( two of them family and friend . One was my sons cousin, other one was my friends brother) and of course taxi men. Then having to deal with digicel that ripped me off made me question if I truly wanted to be there. Boy I must really love the place bad to still want to be there. It didn’t help when staying in the country two days after I arrived ( was almost two weeks after hurricane) electricity went out for days came on for a few hours then out again. Only two days before I left electricity came back on. One thing I’ve never liked is how crazy them drive there.I speak Spanish so could I possibly get a job there. . ? Only thing is I’m only interested in staying there from a few months to 6 months.
Grandpa is so right about that good morning in Jamaica goes along way, in the USA you tell a person good morning and they look you up and down and pass.
This conversation was very interesting I had to subscribe, I like how you at least claim that when we Jamaican move to another country we have to adopt to their culture, so why should you not wan't to adopt to your culture that you born in just because was living abroad. That's one thing I despise about some Jamaica.
Thanks for sharing and informing others about investment posibilities in JA. I woulkd like to hear what you can share about opening a brokerage account in JA. I have had an interest in investing in the stock market, did my research and actually went to Jamaica in hopes of opening an account. I was not successful and it was a disappointing experience as there was a lot of red tape outside of my control that was being asked for, above and beyond what my research uncovered. Is there any advice that you can share about the account opening process?
I wish she would allow the gentleman to speak, she is a little bit over anxious and disruptive. Please allow the gentleman to speak we can hear him very well so allow him to speak and don't finish his sentences for him.

As a person who actively works in health care in America for over 25 years; I will tell you all that good health care starts with the individual taking care of themselves, by eating right and exercise. If you abuse your body smoking cigarettes and abusing alcohol you will end with chronic illness that will kill you whether or not you choose healthcare in Jamaica or overseas.
Great video guys. I think I would look into starting a care home business or to train care givers. I received my diploma in the uk and now living in Canada. Planning to move back home so this would be a good venture to start. Thanks guys.

I am one of them who was not waiting on retirement I picked up my girls and come back home to grow them here. Visit the UK now and then I am more happier here.
It’s not “dishonest.” Chances are you are being paid the market rate for Jamaica. It’s a different culture and doesn’t work for everyone, especially if you’re a returning resident. There is a trade off with migrating. You won’t have what you had and you have to adapt. There are some non-negotiables for me, however, mainly healthcare. It’s virtually nonexistent or bare bones. Also don’t like the laxity in getting any transactions done like banking, getting a land title, the pace of building and not being able to trust contractors/family, etc. in building, etc. But those are potentially negotiable. I also find the stock market exciting as well, but don’t like the fact that you need a broker in 2024, while where I am I can trade on my cell. Notwithstanding, there’s no place like Jamaica 🇯🇲 That’s why ppl return. Less stress, nuff vibes and a true community spirit. Don’t even mention the breeze, rivers, falls, beaches, beaches and fun.
Returning back to Jamaica is SUICIDAL. The hospitals is deplorable The government men Fly out when they are sick Jamaica should get rid of most of the men in politics and put more PUSSY in charge

Big ole racist march in London today by thousands of right wing white British waving flags and shouting about how their country is overrun and they want their country back. Others commenting that more of these marches and protests are going to happen around the country. Might end up changing your mind... (I'm in London, fwiw.)
And I'm not leaving Jamaica for any ple racist country. No one can run me from my country. We eat a lot of organic food. I don't face cold weather. This is the dream place. Not saying it's heaven but very easy life style ❤
