Yes, the size of a ball few years ago was a standard - 500m. I had to cut the yarn every time I wanted a colour change. Now they have a wide range of yarn ball sizes.
Pattern is beautiful but first few rows are going too fast. If you could explain how many DC or... are there in all in that row, it would help. I almost did row 10 to realize that there should be 38 CHAIN 5 SOACES N MINE WAS 40. Had to redo. But didn't realize where I did wrong.
It depends from the yarn you use. This one in video tutorial didn't need that much cutting - color changes really smoothly. If you need you can cut yarn off and add a new one in next round.
Thank you. I realized after starting it several times that I was missing the two EFPDC separating the petals, so I had 15 petals with just the beginning two EFPDC on each round. It was curling like crazy 😂 all good now. Thank you for the wonderful tutorials.
