@@nelix4602 i don't work on dalek mod, i only make the addon mod. I cant port someone elses mod to another version. Besides i believe they have some plans on porting it to newer versions
I randomly found your mod today and I think it is REALLY awesome. For the current functionality of it all its all going together really well and the fact that it works with modded dimensions is PERFECT! I hope the mod development continues and I look forward to see what changes come in the future. As for an idea for the mod... What if there were more portal gun variants that aren't canon from the show? Like different portal gun designs that are either shaped differently, look different entirely, or even be differently colored and have different colored portals? I can imagine being on an SMP and everyone just has a different colored portal.

Wow! Exactly how it should be, except the view... I mean, the portals should be bigger, like, 2x2 blocks, have some simple animations. Likevin meecreeps mod. And, you know. Rick portal gun should create portal when you shoot at some block, while prime and evil morty portal guns can just create a portal in next 3 or so blocks. Anyways, it's the coolest portalgun mod I've seen. Would like it on 1.18.2 and 1.12.2 versions.
Glad you like it, theres plenty more to come, possibly even different portal sizes, who knows. I could make a 1.18.2 version but 1.12 is highly unlikely since it's rather old
@@JamesLeDolphin thanks for replying. Okay then. It always upsets me, when the mod is only for some newer version, and never for older. You know, when 1.7.10 mod and 1.20.2 same mod, but all the cool updates are only on 1.20.2 and so stuff like that. Anyways the mod is very cool and I love it.
@@Alan1984B well its harder to maintain multiple versions, especially update them all. Besides older versions are actually old and quite different in some aspects, meaning its even more difficult to update each version
@@JamesLeDolphin i know. I mean, that would like you so much if you do that for at least 1.18.2, cause i have a modpack on that version. I think it is easier to update the mod to the 1.18.2, easier than 1.12.2, dont it?
@@superrobick4520 cooldown is so that when you tp to another dimension, you wouldn't immediately be tpd back which would get you stuck between 2 portals. And I'll consider adding multiple sizes for next update
you should make mortys portal gun require a cheaper portal fluid, the brewing recipe should be items you can only find in the overworld so you dont have to use corus fruit or eyes of ender, also make mortys portal fluid yellow.
@@eeehehe123 If i add more dimensions it'll be in a separate mod since i want the main portal gun mod to just be a lightweight mod that adds a simple portal gun
@@JamesLeDolphin I decided to try and use it in my survival world and after following all the steps of the recipe it worked perfectly to the nether 👍 still would be good to find out why the creative one killed me though. Edit:yellow portal gun exploded
You should make the portal gun be able to use bootleg portal fluid and when you shoot it, and then enter the portal it will kill you or put you into the void
I did think about it earlier, but because how the gun was charged it wouldn't have worked. But now since i changed the charging I can actually do that, so yeah coming next update. Thanks for reminding
A very cool feature you could add is basically you being able to create portals to other servers what have the mod installed, connecting them. I can see a lot of bugs coming up with this though
Work on the portal animation Add teleportation fluid Make the portal more immersive by showing the button panel of the actual portal gun. Add fluid bouncing inside the chamber. Make so portals aren't bound to blocks (they can stand anywhere) How would you craft your portal gun?
Portal fluid exists. Realistic fluid animations in minecraft? Really? Portals are entities, meaning they aren't bound to blocks. They already have the recipe i just forgot to showcase it
Very cool! However i would suggest changing the manual entry for a dimension into a dropdown list, since that way no one can mess up "the_nether". If possible, it would read all installed dimensions (think the world's level.dat might have it) and add its name properly into there.
It would be really cool if it could send you to randomized dimensions like in the 20w14infinity snapshot. Maybe add some custom mobs, bosses and you got a great mod!
You should make a player tracker that automatically sets the coordinates to a couple blocks infront or behind them, depending on what the player sets it to.
Looks really cool! I'd like to see a "random teleport" feature similar to rtp commands on servers. Of course you'd need validations to make sure the player isn't standing on air or lava. All in all I think it'd make more people interested in adding the mod to their playthroughs.
Sure! Il add the random teleport, as for the people teleporting over water or lava, its a deliberate choice to make players more careful when choosing a destination
@@JamesLeDolphin While manually selecting coordinates, I agree. I had meant adding the validations in for the rtp functionality so they wouldn't just end up right above a ravine or something falling to their deaths, same with appearing over a lava pit. I appreciate the response and taking the recommendation!
