Thank you so much for this video. Loved this style and your teaching is really confidence boosting since I am new to watercolours and intuitive painting. ❤
You are so welcome! That was such a kind comment to leave. I love to paint in watercolor in a forgiving way and showing others how to do the same is such a lovely bonus!! Feel free to subscribe to my channel, as I am making new videos similar to this one!
@@JoanneGrant_Art I have subscribed and liked. I am sooooo looking forward to some more videos. Love your style and your choice of colours is beautiful. I am in the UK and this style is very hard to find but it really speaks to me. Thank you so much for your effort and time in spreading this art style. Carolinexx

I really enjoyed your video and looking at your artwork . Been listening to a day in the life of an artist every morning . They say youare as good as the company you keep so thanks for being good company. Woof woof to Molly and thanks to you... I’m off to do some art and like you say follow my dreams 🐾🌈🌸🙌✌️✨😄
omg yes, I’m 9 and I want to be a writer (inspired by Stan lee) but I wanna do art as kinda a hobby. The only thing i wasn’t up for was waking up every single day and just sit on my bed drawing. Ty for showing me this, Also nice message at the end.
I am an Artist too! I like to draw animals! And I especially love art! I hope someday to be a Sumner Camp Art teacher and teach kids some art techniques! I want to inspire people! 😊
This was really calm and encouraging. Exactly what I needed to hear after getting fired yesterday. Beautiful art and beautiful dog. Help your little doggy lose weight. You'll both be happier as he ages. :)
I say just go for it. If you want to be an artist, then be an artist. Life is short so might as well enjoy the time we have. Don't be scared. You're basing this on a "what if." There are going to be people that will want to buy your art. Even if the income isn't a lot at first, you'll get there. If being an artist makes you happy, then be an artist. Take chances.
im adhd and am a great artist as everyone i know has said...and i cant go a second without doddling something down on the sides of my math work sheets or in anything...and its really hard keeping my grades up. I also never follow any rules to art...i never use measurements or anything...i just start moving my hand and once im done I've completed something that would win a 6th grade art competition. my school never does anything to acknowledge art or music...they only want science and mathematics...which im completely shit at. anyway nust needed to get that out of my system and share.😄😌👏
potato trash school systems are usually awful when it comes to art, also I have anxiety and I'm terrible at exams I get so nervous I have panic attacks etc sometimes during the exams. So I've never been good at conventional school, but I love to paint and write. I find I can release my emotions through it and my anxiety sort of helps with the art and writing as I'm sure your ADHD helps with your art. It is great that we can find a positive side to it, keep making art and I'm sure you'll be a great artist some day.
Hi Betina, I wasn't able to reply directly to your comment, must be something to do with your settings. Anyway, No I did not go to art school. I am self taught. When I look back, I do wish I was able to go to art school, but at the time circumstances did not allow. If you decide to go to art school or not, in my opinion, an important aspect of being an artist and what you will need to learn is how to market yourself. Business and marketing courses are very, very important. Marketing especially. In order to make a living as an artist, you need to sell your work, and to sell your work you need to get your work seen. Marketing courses will help with this. There are also many, many books on this subject and it is a skill that will serve you well. Whether to go to college or art school is an important decisions you will make. No one answer is right for everyone. It is a decision you will need to make yourself and with your family/loved ones. Good luck with your art and whatever you feel is the right course for you!! And thank you for your nice comment!!
Hey Joanne, I have question. Did you go to art school? because I'm thinking of going to art school but I'm so scared because maybe I won't find a job and maybe It would be better to just do things my own, like become self-employed and do things that I love especially arts and crafts..
Joanne Grant, I love this video its so inspiring! I am an Artist too and I love drawing animals! And I am really good at it and I want to continue doing it! I want to teach kids some techniques of my art style! I want to inspire them! 😊
I love the advice you give at the end of the video. It is so true! I am almost 40 and am going back to school for my BFA and MFA after that. I am happier now than I have ever been.
