yes!! and she's delivered such incredible visuals for her previous singles....was greatly looking forward to what would come with the actual album cycle 😭
i can tell you as someone who has done proper research into avril and has been to four live concerts of hers over the years (and watched numerous more on film) the majority of fans have always given her the respect she deserves and like the true artist she is the gives the respect right back. about other things i learn the following: she has doen 7 albums and this does not count the MANY B-side tracks that she has never released on official albums...but some of those tracks can be found on on websites or certain compilation albums. not counting the B-Sides she has done over 80 songs and wrote them all by herself...without the help of a manager, because she is her own boss...she only does NOT own the rights to two songs; she did write them but but she doesn't own them. she also got her hands immortalized in hollywood and has been highly credited for not just music but her work with charity...she has both her own charity and works with others. she stood up for black rights and is anti-trump...whenever she does a show she loves to get the fans involved however she can...bring them up on stage, sign autographs...she wants them to know that she is only famosu becaue of them and their support.
I really liked your review! This album is another underrated gem from Nelly Furtado. You're asking the right questions about the background story. People seem to be focused on the music and different genres rather than the lyrics. In interviews, Nelly has mentioned that the album was inspired by a major heartbreak. This led her to seek solace and escapism in the studio with her friends. Her ex-partner is the American rapper Hodgy Beats, now known as Jerry. They have two children together. Hodgy has lived in Pasadena, which is referenced in the song "Untitled." There are also mentions of meeting in LA in the song "Floodgate" and getting married in Las Vegas in the song "Fantasy," although it's uncertain if they actually got married.
Bionic is a masterpiece. The USA failed Bionic and Xtina, y’all failed her. Loved the reaction and now going to watch your other Xtina videos. Would love you to react to all Little Mix albums!
yes! it was actually the first mariah album i ever listened to in full (when it came out) until i did TEOM reaction on here. i LOVE that album and still play it all the time to this day 🙌🏻
I ❤❤ this album!! Her raspiness, airy, whispery and soft voice is delightful and elegant. She sings with grace and elegancy (especially with her effortless high notes), definitely her BEST album still to date. 🤩😘
“Girls against God” being a lonesome letter to god and the universe about being in lockdown. “My Love” about her passion for making music and not being able to perform live again. “Free” her anxiety and depression, sobriety shaken away when she’s making music and running around when she’s performing songs
Best thing about Mariahs lyrics is that she wrote them for the listener to interpret the meaning for themselves and their own situations. However if you wish to know how they relate to her life and understand why she wrote them more cannot recommend her memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey audio book more. It’s amazing.
Meteorite it’s a not a House track, it’s actually based out of Eddie Kendricks ‘Goin Up In Smoke’ disco/soul record from 1976, the producer did a great job pulling out that sample and reusing the strings, bass and Eddies lead vocal It’s actually a Disco/Pop based instrumental, with R&B/Soul Vocals
you're right on the blondie inspiration! as stated by bebe - heart wants what it wants - stevie nicks seasons - landslide, fleetwood mac satellite - california gurls i'm not high, i'm in love - rasputin, boney m blue moon - call me, blondie born again - limp bizkit
