Hi! I'm actually really interested in using this for an eagle project, but I don't know if the people would accept two holes dug in their lawn (they don't own the property), so I was wondering if there is any way of making it freestanding. Thank you for the design, and this is an overall great video. :)
I think the main advantage is it gets you up, off the ground. You have a level, stable floor with no twigs or stones poking you from below. There is probably less chance of crawling insects getting in and around your tent and in my case, my truck has a power outlet at the back of the box so I can be charging a phone or camera battery while in the tent.
@@TheOneCanoe downside is a tent on the ground can be left behind when you do multi day camping at the same site, car one has to be set up every time again. The ones that can be mounted to the roof/truckbed and spring with less set-up time would be somewhat faster and safe time (hard to air out and more weight/less aerodynamic as cons).
@@mickeytadadam All valid points. Certainly you want to choose a tent based on your needs. The main reason I purchased a truck tent was for an upcoming long distance road trip down east, where we would be stopping and camping along the way and avoiding expensive motels.
@@TheOneCanoe Yes,that's correct.I bought this cam because of your well done and helpful review and i have to tell you,i'm very happy with tis little cam.Of course it's no Gopro but for this price it's doing an absolutely great job. Thx for the review...nice job 👍👍👍 P.S.: Sorry for my english....i'm from Germany 😉
Yes indeed, a dehydrator is a really good option. We use them all the time, especially on our longer backcountry adventures, but these pre-packaged, freeze dried dinners are great choices for a last-minute weekend get away. I always pack one on any trip as an emergency back-up meal.
I've been there many times, got in the lake at Kingsford dam, paddled to site 11, stayed at that exact site a couple of times, used that same outhouse ! hiked those same trails, nice place !
Great review! Mine is coming tomorrow. Does yours still work and are you still using it? I've seen a few reviews that said theirs stopped working soon after they bought it. Thanks!
Hello, I know this video’s a year old but I have one question in relation to battery life. Comparing the GA100 that my friend recently brought to the GA420 that I’m looking to purchase in the near future. How is the battery compared between the two cameras? Does the GA420 have a longer battery life than the GA100 or do they both have the same one battery usage? Thank you.
Is this honestly 15,000 I have seen the stove looking exactly the same saying it's only 11,000? I have no idea how to measure it, I only know I was told to get at least 15,000 for true cooking while traveling the road. I can't even find this model anywhere online-but amazon and Gas One website Home depot has it but it says only 11,000 btu? I know the gray one is marked 9 or 10 thousand but I specifically got it because it said 15,000 and of course it's non returnable even if unopened? I just bought it on amazon and it won't let me cancel and I can't return. Is there a way to measure to make sure it's up at that 15,000 level as I don't put it beyond the makers to just lie about it since many of the sellers lie about everything. Thanks for any help from anyone. And yeah I am a newbie to outdoor camping at least since I was a kid in the early 70's....lol
Hullo Wayne, for how long have you had the gimbal, I have seen a lot of bad review about it regarding calibration, balancing, glitches and all. For how long have you used it, i am a bit hesitant to try it.
What a fun video! I just into kayaking a few years ago. I'd love to do a kayaking-camping adventure one of these days. Thanks for sharing! Definitely subscribing!
