No Grudges is a NYC Funk Punk Rock band, Crystalla (Vox) & Gabriel (Guitars/Vox). Since High school, Gabriel & Crystalla have not only been songwriting partners but partners in real life. In 2011, they started their first band together which led them to be able to perform in NYC’s top venues such as Irving Plaza, Gramercy Theater, Webster Hall, and even the infamous, iHeart Radio Theater hosted by Z100. They also participated in both CMJ & CBGB festivals along with opening up for Bad Brains legendary singer, HR. In the height of the pandemic, they launched No Grudges in April 2020. They felt the name vibed with their new sound & philosophy. They streamed every single week for 5 months straight to connect with their audience. With their Instagram videos of covers & originals, they were able to get the attention of Janis Joplin’s team and shared their cover of “Piece of my heart”. They have two singles out right now, “Put it Together” & “I Need Somebody”.
what did i just stumble onto... heard you cover nirvana school... and now im fucking melting and this needs a bazillion likes and gets my vote for president of the universe.... im ded. but EFF I WANT YOU TO PLAY MY FUNERAL
Really not sure why people don't like this, this is honestly one of my favorite covers of this song ever and I think her voice perfectly fits and even in some ways excels in certain parts that I like more. Really amazing cover
The Subway will always be the toughest crowd to play. Each passenger is already pissed about the commute, about the bullshit some supervisor said at werq, the rent, the one that left, the one that came in after, or just life in fuxkin' general... BIG PROPS FOR COMING OUT SWINGING IN THAT ARENA! Keep up the good werq! Be loud, Be fuxkin' volatile. Stay true. You're always just a song away from making someone's day.
Thank you so much for writing this. It means a lot to us. Thank you for understanding the NYC culture! It’s not always easy, but we love put a smile on someone’s face or change someone’s day for the better. We love to do it! ❤️
I think you could go bigger with vocals. The grunge era would push the vocals like it was the last song. This seems reserved. Let’s see if she goes for power in the middle ... naw not really. Regular singing. Last bit had a bit. Fun but no spine tingles.
