Just downloaded these files. Thank you very much! Works well on my DTXMania. I have to admit, I jumped straight to playing more complicated songs instead of learning the basics. I would recommend practicing with rudiments to have a more solid foundation first.
Why not? Nobody uses the tone pot anyway, and if it's a strat, you can just wire it for a single tone knob. I just put a killswitch in a Glarry 2 humbucker guitar. I put the killswitch where the volume pot was, and then just drilled a new hole and put the volume pot between the button and the tone. imgur.com/gallery/glarrygst-e-with-sanwa-killswitch-VTAZAAs
Check both the arm holder and the trem block. I forgot to mention that I did shave the trem cavity at an angle, with the dremel stone bit. Basically the part that the block would run into when pulling. I pulled the trem out, and in the big 0 shaped hole, I just contoured the wall of wood that's parallel to the block, so the bottom of the block wasn't touching when I pulled. Also make sure it's not getting hooked under the pickguard, if you have one. The foam under the springs may be covering it up, but basically right at the edge of where the foam ends, that's there I angled it. A lot of guitars have a concave notch cut out where that corner of wood is (some Kramers and Jacksons, I think). Let me know if you still can't figure it out.
Each end on the jack, one to one. Doesn't matter which one from the switch goes to which one on the jack, as long as it's one of each. You can test it (I use a battery guitar amp on my bench) before putting everything back together.
Hey! Thanks so much for this vid. I just picked one of these up for free (the display screen doesn't work properly). Is there a way to utilize this as an input section without use of the display screen? Windows 10, Pro Tools 2022 (Willing to try Reaper though). Thanks!
I'm sure it *could* be done, but it's gonna be tough. I played King of Fighters with nothing but headphones once, and won blind, so anything is possible. Remind me this weekend and I'll try and make a video so you can see what *should* be on the screen, maybe you can fumble your way through.
I may not have explained it well because I'm coming from a guitar perspective and maybe assuming everyone knows (I haven't rewatched the video), but what you're looking for is for the 12th fret to match the open string on the tuner, across the strings. You move it so that the highest and lowest strings are intonated correctly, and if the bridge is well made, the rest will take care of itself. If the note is flat, move the bridge forward (Remember flat=forward), and if it's sharp you move it back. You want to keep rechecking the high and low strings since naturally moving one end of the bridge may move the other end, somewhat. Hope that makes sense.
I'm guessing the batteries may contact the side, causing a short and not light up? That or it works the same. I got the impression the sleeve might be there just to corral the batteries together so they don't slide around or get flipped backwards as you're loading them in there. If you're really curious I can go find mine and try it. LOL
I have some other L'Arc guitar videos too, if you'd like to check them out. I'm particularly fond of Link, Hitomi no Jyuunin (guitar pick magic trick, lol), and Fate (fastest pickup switch in the West, lol). 😁 ru-vid.com/group/PLa2pARIPC9cP9SnMHxyUL8GrY816gtsWP
This stick is a nightmare to reassemble. The dreamcast one is very easy by comparison. Don't try to dissassembly this if you can. Use the spray lube like shown in the video.
If you have a choice, connect with RCA cables/headphone jack, rather than HDMI, so it's analog rather than digital. I'd turn off venue mode and any of the extra graphical crap you don't need.
@@Billkwando I'm on PC so my choices are a audio interface, mic, or messing with the settings pretty much. I'll try shutting off the venue. Thanks man! Didn't expect a comment back after all those years. I also set the audio engine to maximum and it's bearable for now.
Hi, I'm wanting to buy the aluminium extended paddles from simpush but I'm not sure how to install them? I'm aware the simpush wheels cone with extenders but I want the actual separate modded ones. Are they easy to swap over?
I don't know what you're talking about. In the video I explained that the Moza extenders are metal, and the Simpush ones are flimsy plastic with little adhesive pads that look like they would fall right off. I didn't need extenders so I sold the Moza 12" wheel that came with the nice screw-on metal ones, and threw the shitty plastic ones in a drawer. If Simpush is selling metal ones now, they should screw through the existing hole in the paddles and then connect to the metal extender on the other side of the paddle.
@Billkwando Yes I saw the Moza ones, they are screw on but aren't available in my country. Simpush make metal ones too but they aren't extenders, you have to replace the original paddles and I've never done that before, just wanting to know if it's easy or how to do it.
Thank you for the video! I am having a hard time deciding between the different ken models, and i was wondering which in your opinion delivers a more original l'arc tone, your van zandt fernandes or the fender custom shop one. Thanks a bunch!
Well, I love them both, but when I play "KK" (LA-85KK) it's almost always the stock humbucker. I kinda just put the Van Zandts in because I clearly can't leave anything alone (yesterday I scalloped frets 21-24 on my Ibanez RG, like a Vai). Honestly the Van Zandts have basically never been used because I don't know what Ken uses them for. LOL You see, I have always played the Ken guitars primarily in Rocksmith, for the L'Arc songs I've made (see my videos here on the channel) so if I'm playing anything before Ark and Ray, I play KK (which I love and have great sentimental attachment to...she's so pretty!). If I'm playing anything after, from Ark on, I use the Love Driver. The only exception is Driver's High, which needs 24 frets (and even then I use the humbucker) and some of the super crunchy stuff like Trick that he uses the flying V on. I do love the Fender pickups (I installed them, of course), and the Love Driver is probably my favorite all-around guitar. I have 2 Satriani models that I adore, but the LD-95KK is the only strat I own/play (not counting the purple one, which was my late wife's first beginner guitar). The Fender pickups sound great and have gotten used a lot. I would put that Love Driver up against any official vintage strat. If I was going to go play in a bar band, the Love Driver would be there. It's a classic.
Here's Fate, with the Love Driver: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3DcNIQ5xgYw.htmlsi=iWMa8eVhQUZD5SCV and here's Vivid Colors, with KK: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oDQDGI5MfOg.htmlsi=vzdxO_Vy2RpwvVLU 😍
The simpush stickers all looked stupid, they were clearly made for a different Moza wheel (a bunch of rotary stickers, mainly). I don't have any Moza stickers I'm aware of, and if I did and didn't use them, it's because they looked dumb/out of place. I sent the simpush stickers to the cool guy who bought my 12" Moza wheel. I kept the simpush, bought a 2nd ES wheel, and now I have the 10" for arcade games like Daytona and Outrun, and I have the 13" for sims. I can just pop one off and put the other on, and if one of them ever breaks (electronically) at least I have a 2nd one.
Excellent review! I ordered an Ibenez from Musicians Friend on sale for $329. and when I got it, it was VERY dark...almost black, because the sunburst finish was overdone...it was super glossy, and flashy...however! It was still nice- but my ❤ was setting on the Loar Honey Creek...So I sent it back. I paid the extra $ and now the Loar is on the way! 😊 So, we'll see what happens next! 😂
If you're really get puzzled about budget, trying to think about other sources to build or join the Sol starfleets. In other words, your Venus Nordic, Martian subterranean, and Antarctic neighbors maybe doesn't lack of budgets to build something new...
I actually like the sound of the DS1 better, which I'm really surprised by. It has just a bit more cut and the tone is a bit richer. Nice demo. Good playing, keep it up!
Thanks! My GF gave me the Satchurator, and I like the More switch, so that's still on my board. I couldn't really tell the difference as they could both be tweaked to sound like the other, minus the extra gain on More. I'd JUST bought the DS-1 too, so that was kind of a bummer, so I figured at least I'd get a video about it. Now I'm modding an RG so I can try and learn Satch/Vai Sea of Emotion Pt 1. There's should be some videos about the project soon. 😁
Here you go! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Lx-MyonZ-L8.html IIRC the final version (10) is not VR. If you need the VR one, you need 9. I'm guessing 9 is what he's calling the final version. If it crashes, you need to add a couple URLs to your hosts file to block: www.reddit.com/r/stage9/comments/th77cn/stage_9_crashes_at_stage_one/ Enjoy, and happy enterprising!
I put a lot of work into her getting her to where she is, but that would be awesome. I was looking into voice mods before (or however that works). What did you mean about the skeleton?
@@Billkwando Im not really knowledgeable about it, but I'm talking specifically about her framework, the 'skeleton' being her body animations, and proportion, with tweaking, like say in Blender, you'd in theory be able to give new animations, but it's really hard and time consuming, because you literally messing with the framework of a character.
@@bittybears5287 Yeah that's not how Skyrim works, generally, as people who make the animations are few, and pretty specialized. Typically they just make them available for modders to use, and I just picked some very obscure ones that fit Bayo best. Otherwise, she would move and walk like every other female in Skyrim. Giving he a special walking animation, without giving it to every other female NPC in the game was, in itself, a feat. Hahaha
@@bittybears5287 If you look at the comments on Nexus, I show with screenshots how the Bayo bodysuit had to be basically remolded to fit a Skyrim character. She can't be taller or thinner.
I did find one of the Generations ones and a 30th anniversary one, Voyager badge style on eBay, so thanks for pointing me that way. However, when I tried to replace the batteries, neither one would make the chirp. I used LR41, or similar style. (I did look to see what can be used in place of LR41 if I couldn't find that one). Am I doing something wrong? I did work to carefully clean out some corrosion from the previous batteries going out. Is there a way to fix that? I also have one of the ones with the rocker switch, but the delta somehow came off of it. I liked that one, except for the pins poking me when I'd wear it and go to use it. Was hoping to find something like that in a magnetic form.
@Billkwando Dirty 30s...I ended up ordering the Loar in Vintage Brown, returning an Ibenez to Musicians Friend. They were having a 4th July sale, and I caved...I wasn't satisfied with the Ibanez...do back it went. Now the Loar is on the way.😊
@@lowellirish You may need to dial in the bridge height with the thumb wheels, so don't be discouraged if the action is high out of the box. I use a D'Addario clip on tuner with mine. It works great.
Do you notice that the wheel is plastic instead of metal? Like, is it too light or any flex? Tempted by this rather than tje 12inch official moza rim, yet am worried out it being plastic. For me in NZ, this is more expensive than the moza option.
I sold the official Moza 12" wheel to another commenter on here for $50, and kept the Sim Push wheel, if that tells you anything. Light is a good thing in a wheel, but no, it's not "too light" (pretty sure I covered that in the video). I've tried to physically flex the wheel and it didn't budge. As far as I can tell it's 3D printed plastic on a carbon fiber hub. Feels indestructible to me, but I only use it on real car sims. For arcade games and emulators like Outrun 2 and Daytona USA, I always use the small wheel that came with it, because the loss of responsiveness from the larger wheels matters in quick arcade racers.
@@Billkwando Thanks for the reply. I really only play Truck Sims so a larger wheel would be ideal but doesnt need to be super strong. Looks like Ill get this instead of the 12inch rim.
