My name is John Vaughn, and I make and sell handmade stained glass items on Etsy at glassartbyjohn.com and on Amazon Handmade at amazon.com/shops/glassartbyjohn.
I also teach stained glass classes at Adirondack Folk School in Lake Luzerne, NY. My videos allow students to see techniques close-up in class during social distancing protocols, and also review from home.
This is Gorilla Clear Glue (not silicone or super glue). I have used Loctite GoTo Glue in the past, and it's okay, but I like the Gorilla glue a little better. As for use outside, I'm not sure. I've never left any of these mosaics outdoors. I suspect it would be fine, but not sure how cold temps would affect it.
Just a very small piece of green glass. At about 8:25 in the video, I show the use of nippers to pare down the piece to a small circular-ish shape. I don't foil this piece like the other larger pieces, I just insert it and use lots of solder around it to hold it in place.
