What is the point of worrying about these temples in Tamilnadu when the people themselves are ignorant about scriptures. By looking at how the people are living, one can conclude that temples are useless as they don’t serve uplift the Hindu community in Tamilnadu. First of all, I am really so concerned about the Tamil people why they chose government totally run by atheists. To me, these temples in Tamilnadu do not serve any purpose to the community. It is really very sad to know the people who run the temples are ignorant and illiterate. They don’t have any knowledge of scriptures. People don’t even know how to chant basic prayers. And you talk about temples. Most of the youths and adults involve in illicit drinks. No spiritual discipline imposed on the people of the villages. Stop talking about temples, and start talking about emanating spiritual knowledge for uplifting the community. Teach the women folks in villages about cleanliness, communal cooperation, health, education and livelihood.
Richest hindu temples should use part of their funds to give scholarships to poor and so called lower caste hindus so that we can stop demographic blunder which is underway
Many temples are razed to ground. GOD AND GODDESS IDOLS are kept in a hut, or small place. Idols can be sold outside. Nobody knows even if it is stolen. Brahmins have been exploited from Kashmir to Tamil Nadu. This trend has been going on in the North for 1000 years. Whoever wants to attack Hinduism has been targeting Brahmins as a community. Since 1980, the situation has been such that even if any SC/OBC gets fever, they would like to blame the Brahmins for it. This exploitation is more wrong than the exploitation of foreign invaders.

Estimates are only 250,000 tamil brahmins are left in india 2. The west has bought the brains and knowledge out of india. There are potentially more tam brahms that live outside india. 3. Those living outside india have started marrying into other properous groups like north indians or even christians. 4. The few remaining in india is either very wealthy sitting and owning 10 crores plus real estate and unable to find grooms and brides for their children 5. The vedic few should be left alone. We should continue to protect them. If not for them the end is even closer 6. We are like jews we need our own land that will be the only way to unite. But the question to ask is were we ever united to begin with. We had our own differences ? All this anti brahman thing in tamil nadu is due to wrong politics done by wrong politician and tamil films which exaggerate things and doesn't make any sense. The only solution for this is brahmins should keep their traditions and clean them according to time and also keep line with modern things
Namaste isn't even a Tamil word. I'm Punjabi and even I know that the Tamil word for hello is Vanakkam. You need to learn to better integrate with Tamils rather than isolating yourself as "Tamil Brahmins".

Brahmins especially and hindus in general should learn how to live in Unity and accept others customs and rituals as equal. There is no unity inside homes, no good habits or even good habits are ridiculed by own close relatives etc. I am experiencing orgy of shame when I lost my own young son in law to corona. Neither veda people nor so called preachers have scientific response to such huge tragedy except for taking sanctuary into unity during adversity and avoiding huge ritual expenses during death etc. and taking refuge in God during such time instead of volumnous vedas and formalities. I live with many tragedies and shocks and countershocks spanning over 40 years of hard fought life apart from taking teaching of others always but none has answer for basic civic questions like society unity etc. this is weakness of hindu society as deviated from Bhagvat Gita preached version Sanatana dharma where one and only god is taught i.e devotion.

@@hopiumlabs9775 wrong. No one is a Brahmin by birth. Lord Krishna says in Gita. Varna is based on Gunas only and if a so called Brahmin refuses to teach veda to a QUALIFIED non Brahmin, he is not a Brahmin.
@@vish2553 am not wrong. I know Only few brahmins are happy to teach. I can give you a simple example, if Brahmins are happy to teach Vedas to others. This modern caste system will be destroyed in months. Only people from the top of the varna system can break the modern system with ease.
I totally agree that the Brahmin community has the responsibility in maintaining their Kula Deivam.Even if they are not in the village,they can raise funds for reconstruction and daily poojas. If this generation does not do this,less said about the next. There should be pride in our roots.
Tamil Brahmins have done nothing to protect the Dharma or their own honour. Many of the are well placed. It is strange that they did nothing to stop tge DMK menace. They can wake up now or continue to stay put and let DMK drive them out fully and lose the Tamil culture too entirely. These corrupt politicians will route Tamil n Tamils entirely in less than a decade

Unfortunately the TN administration and polity is extremely Christianized (Dravidian identity was created and nurtured by Christian missionaries and the Brits) and no political party in TN wants to identify strongly with Hinduism.. despite TN being 96 percent Hindu
Ours is a small village near Kumbakonam and our ancestors lived there tending to the fields through hired farmers. There was a small - very small temple near the ancestors home. All of the ancestors migrated to towns and my father joined Railways in Kolkata. No one cared for the temple nor did we enjoy the yield from our field. Every thing was taken by the farmer. The small temple was so dilapidated that keeping perumal stone statue was in question. My cousin's family and me (only two of us) decided to reconstruct the temple, hired a sthapathi, and completed the temple construction and consecrated with divinity. A local bhattar was appointed to take care of the temple ( mornings only) perform daily Abhishekam and some nirvedhyam. We transfer enough funds to his account every month and the small temple is now functioning well with locals praying there morning and evening. We visit twice an year and attend to any repairs painting etc. A very small service to our Village temple where our ancestors lived once upon a time. Such arrangements can be made by the respective families who were once residents of the village. Where there is a will there is a way.
I am in one such village near kumbakonam this week. What you are doing is for own manashanthi. We need to unite for other causes other than manashanthi and karma. The reasons are beyond fixing temples. You have an end of tam brahms issue and fixing temples will not address that.
@@rnskfamily7672 it is a very small family temple. Only our ancestors used to do every day Pooja. It is not in public property. Only now we opened the temple for the public (our local villagers). I didn't get your point. In my uncle's village all of us took some interest and maintained the temple which is in public place. Some painting electrification providing lights etc were done till 1990. After that I have not gone to the village. Some local people are just able to get day to day work done.
@govindrajan9887 how is fixing temples going to fix the end tamil brahmin issue ? Most temples are managed by others all over tamil Nadu and tamil brahmins continue to leave india in large number with no plan to return
Applicable to all hindus. For instance in kerala all hindus have a kudumba devatha , Thattakkathu devatha or grama devatha. Of late there has been a considerable increase in the interest of hindus in the upkeep of these temples and coming back to roots.
