I'm big into family history, have been doing research slowly for a few years. My ancestors came from Germany, well Prussia. If the information I've found is correct they came from Freudenberg, Westfalen, Prussia. They immigrated to the United States in the 1740s. I've been trying to find information but haven't had much luck. A lot of what i find shows me this Freudenberg. Do you know if they are the same place? Or any databases or websites i can look at?

But better to write in German, you can use Deepl to translate. The officials might know better where and how to get the information you need.

Hier haben wir als Kinder gespielt. Wir liefen von Asperg aus zum Schloß und an den See. Die amerikanischen Besatzer, in Ludwigsburg stationiert, machten oft Picknick am See und wir Kinder bekamen Schokolade, Kaugummi und Cola. Habe Monrepos noch sehr oft besucht und viele Fotos davon gemacht ♥️
