This channel is dedicated to occupational therapy and occupational therapy practitioners. Creative Concepts in Occupational Therapy PLLC was created by me, Debra Battistella, MS, OTR/L. I love occupational therapy, teaching and joining together with other OT Practitioners to elevate the profession. I believe we can help each other by creating a community of caring where we lift each other up to become our best professional selves. The more we become our best professional selves, the more we can elevate occupational therapy as a profession and help other people live their lives to the fullest. Please join me...
Thank you for doing this video. I've just been offered my last placement and it is an emerging role in a school. It's long arm supervision, which has me worried with me having dyslexia. But after watching your video, I think I'm up for it
Thank you so much for sharing this video. It was inspiring for me to hear how you and your group experienced use of the Kawa Model. May your rivers continue to flow beautifully and harmoniously.
Dr. Iwama, I feel honored that you watched my little video! Thank you for your kind words. I love the Kawa Model and use it when teaching, coordinating and supervising fieldwork.
@@creativeconceptsinoccupati4243 Actually I wonder that how an OT evaluates and intervents in areas of OT ; pediatric, geriatric etc. I have just graduated from OT programme. Thank you so much. 🎀😊
@@ebrark.5555 Great idea! Thank you for the suggestion. Generally, I can speak to/provide examples of adult & geriatric practice. Know that we follow the same process regardless of practice area. With that in mind, and, if you want to investigate while waiting for videos, I suggest looking into the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework, 4th edition. It's a wonderful document that outlines occupational therapy domain and process. There's an article about it in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy, August 2020, Vol. 74, 7412410010. doi.org/10.5014/ajot.2020.74S2001
