The problem in UK is that the English dont have a clue about the history of Northern Ireland! Scotland is much more aware of it because of its closer connections history (Ulster Scots and Gaelic language)and of course football (Celtic v Rangers).

The bridge before the bus station is Brian Boru bridge. Back in the day it used to open for vessels going further upstream and had a rail track for goods trains transiting between the main station and the now defunct West cork/Bandon train station.adjacent to the city hall.
The man who started Dunnes stores used to work for Mr Roche of Roches stores fame many moons ago before starting his own retail clothing business which blossomed into the now well known supermarket chain. Debenhams took over the building in recent years when Roches stores folded and is now being prepared for a new lease of life with new owners.
at the beginning of your video you call the river Elwar? it is the River Ellen and it runs into the Solway Firth, The lake district coast Aquarium I used to work their in 2005 along side my sister, the boat in the dock are mostly trawlers and they all go out catching fish, prawns, crabs etc, some of the boats do sell the fish to the general public and there is usually lots of people queuing up for the fresh fish. Maryport has had a few name changes over the years the Romans first had a fort here and named the area Alauna, it was first mentioned in AD700. we do have a Roman museum which is open to the public. then after the Romans left it was named Ellenfoot as the town was at the foot of the river Ellen, Then a man called Humphrey Senhouse began developing the town as a port and so gave the name Maryport naming it after his wife Mary. Thomas Henry Ismay one of the founders of the White Star Line (Titanic) was born in Maryport and the house he was born in has a plaque outside to commemorate this, it is on Ropery street which isn't far from the docks, it was a very busy port shipping coal iron and glass around the world. the old lighthouse is the oldest cast Iron lighthouse in the uk and was established in 1846. the other cast Iron lighthouse is in Bermuda. where the caravans are the roundy things you called them are pods you can hire, basically just for people who want to stay one or two nights, the bridge that goes over the harbour is in need of repair as you can usually walk over it from one side of the harbour to the other, but as usual it all comes down to who is responsible for repairing it!. hope this gives you some info on our little town, it is much like any other town now that is becoming a victim of online shopping :(

1798 The year of the French. As a way for the French to attack the English in a backdoor kind of way they landed a few 100s troops & armed the Irish & had officers leading their combined military efforts. That year they kept attacking English garrisons with local know how the length & breadth of the country with much success until finally the game was up. The French surrendered & were treated as POWs & traded back for English POWs in Europe. The captured Irish were not treated so well being seen as ungrateful natives & not proper soldiers. 1798 Martyr's RIP. There is plenty of literature about 1798 & it's very interesting. I hope that explains a little why the statues exist & 98 street. Cheers from Wales.
That girl with a pink cup ( the last girl) is not even homeless. I know where she lives, and believe me, she is doing very well....as well as the rest of her gypsy family.

Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus
