That would be awesome! I imagine there wouldn’t be as many established anime voice actors if Viz had to make their own studio to produce more but it’d be cool if they can keep most of the cast they have now.
@IgKnightedSpark That probably wouldn't be too hard to keep the O.G V.A since they can record lines anywhere. The animation will be the hard part like you said.
@@compareandcontrast9833 I think one ideal short of the time and money consuming idea of a lot of the old RT crew forming a new animation studio for RWBY would be something like Amazon or another partner helping to produce! A lot of people were speculating that Amazon might get the rights before the Viz announcement and they do seem to let the production crews of their shows have a lot of freedom.
I agree. To me,RWBY 's writers from the beginning have made so many bad decisions in every way possible writing-wise that the foundation is rotten. Because of that,I doubt they'd be able to give an ending that's satisfying or not contrived.
Fair takes and good vid, I'm hopeful for V10 given Kerry's intent when going in and the team members who seemed to know this was coming. Especially cos a reboot or shift would likely be more trouble than it's worth.
Thank you! Yeah, I've been seeing some suggestion of a "reboot" of some kind but I can't say I'd find that to be a practical or "popular" solution compared to continuing with Volume 10.
@@yuukianimates3318 It would be nice to at least see some of the higher quality stuff continue, like getting Blake and Yang Figma releases. Or maybe Nendos of later season designs/Team JNPR
@@IgKnightedSpark those RWBY Nendroids would sell like hot butter, we need merch that would make fans want to buy them, limited merch would trigger them to buy them
i kind of hope this means we get a reiteration and a brand new spin on the series from a more accomplished writer who isn't just throwing the latest political takes at the show and seeing what sticks, this has become appealing to a massive audience around the entire globe, and it wont achieve that by playing the American leftist rightest game. Better figure out what appeals to everyone and focus purely on that.
I do think we'll get Vol 10 for one reason: the promotional image for Viz buying the IP. That alone seems to confirm that, bare minimum, we'll get Vol 10.
@IgKnightedSpark true. Even though Viz has worked with RWBY before, I don't think Vol 10 will be for another year or two. Unless they brought the ENTIRE CRWBY team (unlikely, probably only a few production members, and most of the VAs), Viz will have to either learn the animation of RWBY, or make a new animation style for it.
I’m sure they at least also have all the models and assets from the acquisition but indeed, I doubt they’d feasibly be able to retain the entire crew so even with the same model and engine, they’d need a lot more new people to work with it, I think.
4:24-4:29 “They explicitly mention in that section that volume 10 is not yet confirmed” -The reason is because animating RWBY is expensive. Barb said one second of animation costs around 25k-35k. VIZ probably has seen RWBY’s metrics and is apprehensive about spending more money. Also Cruchyroll not wanting RWBY after co-producing V9 could mean it didn’t meet their expectations.
That could be but at the same time, even looking at a glance, I'm not the only one skeptical about the idea that animation alone costs that much. Certainly I have no doubt it's expensive to make considering the quality but I agree with the idea that the 25-35k figure (per minute, apparently was the quote?) was likely factoring in upkeep and some other factors. That said, I don't have a hard time believing it's costly to animate and that's partly why Viz is still looking for a solution.
25 to 35k for crappy animation and barely any fight scenes?!? Yeah, they need to hire new animators or if the animators really were being underpaid then they need to figure out an easier way to do things. Also, I hate to say it, but if they are going to keep most of the core cast and writing team for the show then I don't think that any of that RT drama and baggage that came with the show is gonna go away. Honestly, I really want whoever is still going to be working on the show to just write an ending at this point, so that they don't continue to take a dump on Monty Oum's grave with every new season of slop that they churn out.
I agreed about the Jack Darby and Arcee thing since Jack Darby is a teenager and Arcee is an adult and a warrior. I can't believe people ship teenager with their robot friends thats like their parent figure
Cliffjumper: hey neat you got the decepticon desguise made now we can use it to infultrate the decepticons Shockwave: ergm yes yeah you can go now Cliffjumper: ok Shockwave: man i am glad i have a horse shoe
Im loving soundwaves input while watching carameldansen. Also, i noticed shockwave has his empurata face drawn over the photo. Was this a relationship before his disfigurement?
@@br61499 well she's an adult and a warrior. She's just like Jack's babysitter or second mother so there's no way Jack x Arcee is legal since Jack is a teen

Pretty sure they wwre all high. The empty glass cubes next to the couch and skywarps dirty answer explain it. Plus star over there tearing up the couch.

And I do expect Godzilla’s spines in general to be not too big and not too small just like both Final Wars and Earth. Also the reason why I don’t like the monsterverse Godzilla designs at all is really because nothing about them screams to me “Godzilla”, except for the spines that’s it, but other than that, they just look like a horrible mess to me. Also I honestly like the 1998 design simply cause it looks like a dinosaur. I love dinosaurs
1:42 From the way she's smiling and how his hand is, and how when asked she looked uncomfortable I'm guessing one of two outcomes between these two: One, bad/abusive romantic relationship, or two, close friends with horrible falling out
