Thank you for this. Just saved me buying junk. Do you think this BMS one is also crap for the same reason? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZtKy8ODed94.html
Be advised, RU-vid's video archiving scheme corrupts audio over time to the point it becomes annoyingly distorted and almost unintelligible. This was recored with high quality lavalier mics with pristine audio initially.
haha, thank you! I recently purchased a used p4 v2 from ebay. risky I know but I did my "research" (checked out sellers history, etc). The unit and remote seemed pristeen. I couldn't figure out how to get the wifi on. The screen didn't want to cooperate. after watching this vid half way through I said, "ah ha!" and am now on wifi.
hello, I have BMW E92 328i with $x2a with vehicle order, but my paddle shift not working, I tried to update all modules, and $x2a is listed in vehicle order, and I cheked all wiring from steering wheel to junction box to gear box and everything is fine, but it's still not working, and I can't find coding belong to paddle shift, please advice
If the vehicle comes with the paddles and it's not working, and you don't see any physical damage to wiring, then you need to take it to a BMW SPECIALIST to run a deep diagnostic to find the fault. I predict it will be 1. electronic issue with a module relating to shifting. or 2. the paddles are damaged internally and you cannot see it visually. There should be zero reasons why the paddles don't work, unless the previous owner did something you are not aware of. Good luck!
I don't think you can install an official BMW LCI bumper on a preLCI car. You have to buy a replica upgrade bumper made specifically for the preLCI cars but with the LCI design. I could be in error but there may be slightly different mounting points from pre vs. post LCI cars. PreLCI bumpers look boring and don't have the nostrils like this one.
The metal oil filter is more consistent and flows better than a paper filter. A paper filter will range from 50 to 100 microns in different spot and the metal one stay a consistent 35 microns all around. Maybe the anti drain back needs mechanism wasn’t work right because of the oil cap.

I'm poor so I can't afford all these gadget. I just put the spark plug upside down and place the ground electrode on the hard floor. Put the right size feeler gauge between the ground electrode and center electrode. Then put all my weight on the spark plug and push the two spark plug electrodes together. And now I have the spark plug with the right size gap between the ground electrode & center electrode. Poor man way of gaping the spark plug.
@@matreyia I just replace my spark plugs a week or two ago. Don't need to replace it for 90K miles, but will most likely just clean them by then and just replace it since it is double platinum. And I am poor and don't have recording device or editing software. That it is why it is call a poor man technique.
I am not familiar with retrofitting paddles. In this case you have to add the paddles option to your vehicle order with NCS, then if it doesn't work, you may try this....however, I don't know what transmission the e90 diesel uses so may be different than this video. If you don't know NCS Expert, then take to dealer to add paddles option to your vehicle order (VO) so the ECU knows you installed paddles.
You say it doesn't fit but also say you fitted it? lots of kits need some modification to make them fit as there is only so much they can do in a kit without having the car think these look great but your video only has it with the disc off and the caliper hanging a before during and after shot would improve your video 👍
This is not an installation video. It is an installation problems video. They have this model car to create this kit did not design this out of thin air.
@@matreyia I understand that was just giving you an idea of how to improve your videos and pointing out that some kits will require the installer to do some modification also, this is not mentioned as criticism just offering some hopefully positive feedback to your video

Very good video! I'm not sure why all the thumbs down. Very honest review, useful as hell for me, I was gonna buy one of these stupid things thinking the same thing you did that I would have easy accurate plug gapping tool. Nope. I do think I'm still going to get one but a different configuration where you don't screw the plug in, you just lay it in the tool ... much faster and easier and covers different MM size plugs with one tool. Thanks for posting.
Any idea what size the adapters are that go thru the delete plate? I broke one 😖 are they m18x1.5? Trying to rethread the hole as well and I'm failing. Help please
I think the adapter connections are 10 AN... but I don't understand what you are as saying. If you need to rethread and you are not sure what the size is, then you will need to take the connector out and go to a hardware store to ask the rep which size re-threader to buy, because it will need to be bigger than the original hole anyways. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZwAfjv3qIZI.html
Hello there. Professional advice needed: I have a stock steering wheel with paddles on my 335i E92, and I want to replace it with the classic M3 model with no paddles, as I don't use them. Will this be complicated in terms of creating any errors on the car's computer system, or so? Who can help me and have knowledge about this? Thank you in advance.
@@matreyia really?😧😬 Can u provide more info, pls, such as what oil did u use, how many miles did u use it, and how did u use the car during the time u had the oil filter.
I don't think this is applicable anymore now that xHP has gotten their act together and made their app function correctly. But last time I tried it on Protools, it did not work. Currently, if you use the most recent xHP for transmission flash, then it will work as expected.
You’re right. These gap tools are very overpriced and there’s a margin for error. I found a cheap (free if you have one) way of doing the gap. Simply put the plug in spark plug socket that you use to install the plug and then use a G clamp to set the gap. No need to pay $60 for a tool that a $8 G clamp will do just as well.
Hello, I retrofit my 330d e90 phase 1 of 231cv of 2007 from a pallet steering wheel and it works only in DS mode or its should also work in drive! An idea?
I believe what you are concerned about is the filter bypass. When one neglects filter changes the filter will eventually get clogged up causing no oil flow. The engineers had this is mind and designed a (calibrated) solution. Have you considered that your reusable filter is doing exactly as it was designed to? I'm sure at least 50 people have tried this during testing and had given it the ok. We would have heard about a lawsuit by now had it destroyed engines. My two cents. I would have also tried to get in touch with the designers and asked them. Thanks for the video.
Sorry to ask on your old video. Does the bms filter section of the catch can needs to be cleaned with this oil drain process if so. How did you clean it?
im going threw some issues with what seems like my turbo drains are leaking. that rear line has some major clearence issues with that motor mount bracket. but both turbos are leaking im curious to what yours looked like when it was leaking and have u resolved this issue? i was wondering if it could be converted to like a an fitting with a flange. did you drop subframe to chaine the line?
This video actually answered my question what to do with the oil cooler set up i am gonna do to my 335 . o ly issue is my thermostat doesnt say in or out . i am assuming the in from engine to cooler is the closest to the fitting on the thermostat thats removable to chnage the spring inside and furthest is out of cooler back to engine
