2:00 that's not true. I added some cards in my cart, and 5 minutes later they disappeared and the cart became empty. I had to search all of them over again.
Thanks for the review, Edo! You are right about the two player rules! I’ve played it with two players but didn’t specify exactly how so I’ll make sure that goes on my website!
Thanks! Maybe worth mentioning that the trails don't have to loop back to the cabin, but just connect to the cabin. I was thinking like "Trailblazers" during my first few plays and that didn't work.
A while ago I was looking into journaling rpgs, but I didn't get very far. At the time I ran into a journaling game where you create a god, then invent that god's myths. It had a central american or aztec theme to it. There was a good sized demo version available from the designer, then more if you purchased. I can't remember the title, and I can't find it anywhere. I don't have anywhere else to ask, so I figured I'd ask here- does anyone know what I'm remembering?
Good question! Although I haven't played it, are you possible looking for Tales from the Gods? It's based on Thousand Year Old Vampire and sounds like what you're describing, but apologies if that's not it. Looks like the PDF is at least available at DriveThruRPG, if that helps. Good luck!
@@gamewardbound That was definitely it. Thank you. I'm not sure why I thought it's theme was central american mythology, but maybe the cover art? Still, that was the game. Thanks for the help!
lol I love your energy! 😄 I just discovered solo rpgs and these three are on my list to check out! Since I’m new I don’t really have any recommendations, but I did hear the creator of Thousand Year Old Vampire wrote another called Old Morris Cave about a totally not evil cave that definitely doesn’t want to end you.
Thanks so much! 😃I hadn't heard of Thousand Year Old Campfire (Old Morris Cave) but that sounds AMAZING! You absolutely have to trust caves. Until you can't anymore, which happens at approximately 5 feet inside. 🤣
Thanks, and good question! The only difference is in communication between partners, so I mainly have each one do their own thing. This kind of removes the need to meet up to coordinate plans, yet I didn't find that it detracted from gameplay in any way for the solo experience. The core mechanics of sort of bringing an ecosystem to life are so enjoyable! Definitely need to get back to complete some more missions soon! 🙂
I want to manifacture a card board game. Can u recommend some manufacturer in China which is good for card games with very good quality?I have around 160 cards in game with some 20 circle wooden or plastic tokens
@@GamingwithEdo Ty for quick answer... I really like to watch your videos, they are so well informative about board game industry and you seem like a very positive person on your every video. Good job 👍
Very nice review, Edo, thank you! Concordia is a really good game but I don't have any expansions for it yet, so after watching your video I've placed an order to get this one... :)
Hi,I find this video very helpful as a new board game designer. Can u please explain again so I better understand...If the retail price is 100USD,how much dollars you get per unit if u pay the cost of printing the game?
@@GamingwithEdo Thank you so much! ❤ I really love the Hanafuda decks that the team at pencil first games provides, will definitely get a red limited edition one as well. But this time I brought my Nintedo deck with me while traveling as the deck box is smaller😄
Hey Edo, thanks for sharing all these! Kinda off the topic of the video but, I’m looking through KS pages of miniatures, and I found that few of them have project videos. Could we say that this is a standardized way of creating pages for miniatures? Why people usually do not include a video? Thanks again for the video 👍
Dude love the video and all the info you put in it! I’m in the process of making and publishing my game. Would you be willing to hop on a zoom call and talk a little more about this! Cheers dude!
This was fun to watch. These games sound interesting and worth checking out. For future videos, it would be helpful to have an overview of the mechanics or game play. Thank you!
Ah, great idea! I need to make some more videos and will definitely take this into account in the future, if only to highlight the general type of RPG to expect. Thanks! 😀
Edo, Thanks for sharing this. Some questions: 1) Do you have minimum orders for your retail partners? and is that getting shipped from PFG directly? 2) If a retailer orders a case of game X and a case of game Y from you, do you ship them separately or combine them? 3) What are your thoughts on printing a brochure style catalog?
1) We do not have a minimum order, but we do have a minimum for free shipping. 2) It depends on the order and where the stock is. FRG has a shipment process (I forget the name off hand) where they basically Pick and Pack for a fee and then charge you shipping. In contrast to when they sell games on their end and all cost is included in their fees. 3) FRG doesn't really "optimize" the shipment. They just send based on what we ask based on best shipping (but not like trying to figure out how to mix cartons). When Jessica or I ship we're probably more creative. 4) All of our games include a PFG brochure that goes to all players. We also use that brochure at trade events (like Gama). We do not ALSO send that brochure directly to retailers (though we could I guess).
Your points reminds me the numerous rereading of rules, cards, player's aids, and boards I was part of for Robotech: Reconstruction to counter the problems you highlighted . On my end I was dependent on spreadsheets of what to check to help make sure nothing was missed. The other thing we did was create a document separate from the rulebook to define terms and how they were going to be used to both ensure consistency and serve as a que that a change would have an impact across the rulebook and components.
Nice review! Did you try out the two other expansions already? One of them is Weather... The other Leland's Tackle Box. I ordered them already of course, so the new wallet with Fishing Lessons Expansion Collection is available 🙂
Thanks! I haven't played with the expansions yet, but I'm sure I'll pick them up at some point. Leland's Tackle Box sounds fantastic! Feel free to stop back when you've tried them out: I'll be interested to hear how they change up gameplay!
