Hi, I'm in my first year of OPT and am currently interviewing for a union position that is "subjected to the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)," and the employer's E-verify status is "terminated." Since I'm eligible for STEM OPT, I'd like to ask this employer to rejoin e-verify so I can work with them. However, I noticed that the employer needs the union's approval to rejoin due to the CBA (and my understanding is that unions don't favor e-verify in general). If the union rejects rejoining e-verify, I will not be able to work with the employer. Would this be considered discrimination? and something I can dispute as it takes away my right to work in the US with STEM OPT? I'd appreciate your input on this, and please correct me if any of the information is incorrect.
I have H1B approved and stamped from india, but never travelled to USA, can i transfer my employer from india? If so there will be any problem in the time at the port of entry ? What will happen for my wife and child who also stamped for H4?
Hi, I have a concern question, I recently got a job offer with the VA and everything went well with background check and all the other steps, but I denied bcuz I failed to register my name with the selective services (draft ) but they gave me a waiver explaining my situation and how a non-registered person cannot get denied, so how does it normally take to get approved by the OPM operation personal management team to decide ?

Hii , I applied for opt got approved with wrong majors which is not stem. My DSO send me the i20 with correct majors code after it was approved. Will it be a problem for me when I apply for stem extension with the new i20 of corrected major? As my initial opt major code is different.

I do have a question. If I transfer my H1B visa and it gets accepted while I still have one year remaining on my three-year visa, will I just be able to use that one year before it expires, or will I be granted three years as if it were year one if my application is approved? Thanks!

I should not be worried if i am working on remote and in 50miles range from office. Right? Or also Does not matter if 50 miles or less than 50miles range distance from neighbor state? Does it require LCA? What if i move to neighbor state after h1b selection? Will that be possible? It still come less than 50miles

I am in the US and have a masters degree in computer science. I’m on my final year of STEM OPT. My H1B application got picked in the lottery this year. My employer told me this week that we received a RFE for specialty occupation…we did premium processing. I’m honestly in panic now. Do you think that is normal? Do you think I just have a bad lawyer?
