I would immediately get a lawyer and set up two funds. One for myself and one for my relatives. Take my kids on vacation and let them blow some money with their friends. Maybe take my friends on a trip after

For years I think about parts of my plain when I win a big amount. First is going to lottery lawyer Kurt Panouses. Get most of my family & close friends at a table meeting. Along with a few business planing people. Make sure with in reason all my family & close friends are debit free, then big part see what they would love to do or have ideas, figure out the cost and possibly do it. But with a bunch of stipulations like the profit pays me back and my % drops after it’s paid to a small amount but I still have a team help keep it working right. For my self I would start few companies as well invest good amount of the money and use the dividends on non investments. Set up a family trust like some the big ones did. Crazy part is I would work more than I do now given It would be fun things but still work. Knowing the money has to grow and I want to use it for many things not just my self. So having it make more money makes sense.

$800mil now. What would I do? Already changed my name “and gender” bc in CA it’s confidential. My real name John Doe wouldn’t be traced to James Smith and James isn’t in any public databases! I haven’t told anyone my new name and wouldn’t tell a soul about my win. Just call Kurt and move to a small 11k sq/ft mega mansion in FL telling family who inquired I got a new job and I’d never flaunt it around them. All gifts to family would be from my new job to avoid people crawling out of the woodpile. Already experienced that when my last job paid me very well, and not one person - friend or family- has since ever even offered to buy me lunch! Screw em, and screw charities!
