The last moments of a series that we all cherished so dearly as one the greatest parts of our childhoods. I was 6 years old when the series began in 2008 and I had just turned 18 years old when it ended back in 2020 now I’m 22 and I can still look back and say that Clone Wars was not only the best Star Wars series but one of the he finest shows ever made. I still get teary eyed whenever I hear this soundtrack it’s just beautiful marking the end of not only an era but bringing so many memories of my childhood. 😭
Same. I remember watching this show at my cousin’s house and I enjoyed it. When I heard that TCW was coming back in 2020, I watched eagerly to get to the end, knowing how it would end. Quarantine, the pandemic, and my graduation that year made the ending hit even harder
The overly dramatic tracks kind of undercut the scene a little bit, but I get what you were going for. The rare times I feel like it fits were all the quiet moments & right when Obi-Wan comes back out of the rocks & starts fighting Vader again, but using the music for pretty much the whole first part of the fight undercuts the later moment when Obi-Wan gets his second wind & then after Obi-Wan starts wailing on Vader & Vader can barely even get a hit in, the dramatic use of the music starts to feel unearned.
Revenge of the sith is such a gut wrenching movie to watch because of how close they were to having a good ending yet everything that could have gone wrong DID go wrong.
There is such a richer darkness to it with it slowed down/reverb. The voice wails more painfully now and the way it fades out sounds much more anguished.
Say what you want about Star Wars Episode I… Anakin Skywalker still has one of the best themes of ANY character in media. You could have someone who’s never seen Star Wars listen to it and they would immediately understand his character arc.
