Jewel Cases are better. The sleeves are cheaper but the product gets damaged. Pulling the cds out they tend to get scratched. Digipaks don't stay closed can't stand up and also easy to damage like vinyl record covers. Over all the jewel cases are better at protecting the cd and art work.
Thank you very much, I have the AKG Lyra and I didn't know that I could use it in ProTools, I only used it in ableton, thank you very much for this tutorial, it will be very useful for me when traveling.
Are you using an audio interface to monitor also? I can't seem to get input into Pro Tools while monitoring with an SSL interface even thought the USB mic shows up on my Pro Tools input pull down menu and I see audio input on the MAC system prefs.
Thank you for your explanation. youll never see this comment because you dont run this channel, but your explanations are the best and you cover a few topics that nobody else discusses clearly..
Im mad this guy in particular doesnt have a channel. His videos (on this channel) are the best.. Its clear he doesnt run this channel because the other video are WTF to say the least...
My mic still isn't showing up on the inputs on PT. I didn't get the prompt to PT to restart after selecting the new mic on the MIDI setup. Any suggestions?
Hi, this is great, thank you! However, I have a question - what interface are you using as your "Pro Tools Aggregate I/O"? Because I'm wondering if this is possible without actually having an audio interface connected to your Mac...?? Thanks
So a song we are trying to do a remix on is at 150BPM on SoundCloud, when we got the MP3 file and imported into our DAW it’s now 75BPM. It sounds the same?!? What’s going on, can you advise? Thank you sir.
Where remixing a song is concerned, you have to keep it at the exact bpm that is indicated (150 BPM) and not change it to 75 bpm or if it’s 75 bpm, don’t change to 150 bpm. You try to do it any other time and everything is going to sound outta sync at some parts even though both times sounds similar
Half time is when you slow it down by doubling the value of each note. If the notes were quarter notes, then, they become half notes. Usually, this technique is used as a 3-4-measure tag at the end of the song or a dance. The dancers slow down their movements, too. Whereas, double time is when you speed up or shorten the value of notes. The confusion comes because we almost always think that if we half something, it is halved (or slimmed down) BUT not in music. If we "double-time" something we reduce the value of notes, not increase it. Keep in mind that half time adds value because it is slowing down the meter.
Very interesting! I was more interested in sending the audio directly into my microphone though. Perhaps using an application, like Voicemeeter, to take the sound output from the application you used (or something similar), to then input it straight into my microphone - so anyone listening could hear a crystal clear piano playing. This probably isn't your forte, but if it is, would you consider it feasible?
One way to do it is to cut the tempo in half in the DAW. So with his starting tempo at 120bpm, divide that by 2 & you get 60bpm. Therefore, 60bpm would be half time.
as mentioned by a few others - after setting Midi to Protools aggregate (or my Yeti usb mic directly) there is no confirmation - and in Protools the Setup menu has mostly MIDI selections - and no I/O options. Usng a 2017 MacBook Pro and ProTools First.
Hey my Oston origin mic just doesn’t show up at all :/ I’m doing exactly what you’re saying and it’s working because I tried it with my computer mic and it works but I don’t have the option to use my oston origin mic
