It's like trying to pick your favorite kid...It's a no win but they both sounded great. I do have the 84 Barretta reissue. All maple. Banana headstock, which I found to be on the heavy side for me, and since I was the guy playing it, I carefully sanded it down to look more like the Charvel Model 2 headstock, which for me made it easier to play without all the weight. Works for me anyway, and looks kinda cool, and still one of my most versatile guitars. All red. Don't care about the stripes even though they look cool. I just love the tone. Pics upon request but it looks and feels perfect. I've even played it in church...when I used to actually go.
I own both, and I like the neck better on the Kramer, but the Floyd Rose and the pickup are better on the EVH. Especially the tremolo. The one on the Kramer feels cheap and loose. When I bought mine, they were the same price ($799). That is not true today. Fender really jacked the price up of the Striped. I've seen them going for as high as $1900. What he said about the weight is very true. The Kramer feels much heavier. I guess than be a plus or minus, based on your taste. I think the EVH feels better, but again, that is a personal preference.
That’s a lot easier than it looks. His keyboard playing is only using one accidental and when he does the taps on the guitar he wimps out and doesn’t play it on the keyboard.

The first thing that made me like Eddie's guitar was the banana headstock. I have them both and although the EVH is a little better made, I like the 84 just for the headstock.
I honestly prefer the stock Seymour Duncan JB Humbucker from the Kramer 84 over the DiMarzio and Wolfgang. The JB gives it the classic VH sound in my opinion.

Fantastic, wish my fingers were that limber. But now I'm older so I have to choose my notes tastefully. Cuz my fingers don't move fast anymore. Good job man very talented.
Well if nobody pointed it out, Ed played that Ibanez Destroyer on runnn. Alnico 8 magnet in that pickups. I will say that it's astonishingly close to the tone!! With my ears, I can't tell much of a difference between the two axes, but then again, my hearing dips -20Db 6k to 10k then goes back to normal 😲 Then again a turd would sound great through that Freidman rig Ed also hammered the chord addon following the double mute on the D chord
