I got the PWC3000 back in 2017 for moose hunting. It is the star of the show. We hunt some nasty places, steep slopes, terrible access & a couple of near vertical paths. Although the 3000 is a little under powered for a direct pull on the large animals we harvest, with a couple of snatch blocks & extra straps to set the rope along the path, it has pulled probably 15 big animals out. A guide pulley up high on a tree just ahead of your winch makes the pull a lot easier because you do not have to "plough" the ground. This machine has paid for itself over & over again, I only wish I had opted for the slightly larger unit.
Think you need some kind of break, like a winch have, if you want to pull up a car for instance, so it doesn't slide back down once you let go of the rope to drive the car.
No. You don't lose power when it's wound up more- you gain. It's shifting to a larger wheel basically and you are getting a gear down and increase in torque actually ;)
First layer of the drum has the most pull and slowest rope speed , last layer of the dum has the lowest pull but the fastest rope speed. Technically power stays the same.
I like how all us guys immediately jump on her for little stupid things. I mean come on, she's just trying to sell winches for their business, man. My kind of woman. Give her a break, y'all.
The cone works great, I have one ordered, Just a question, what rope do you use, what is the breaking strength of the wench rope, I also need to order some rope for this summer, for pulling firewood logs out, can't afford the wench but still need the rope to tie behind my car for skidding the logs. Probably about 200 feet will do. just wondering how strong the rope needs to be.
I just purchased one today, and I'm quite impressed with the quality... haven't put her to use yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. I didn't think this quality product was made in Canada anymore.
The Complete Set UP she made for Winching is AMATUER to say the least WOW I would NEVER set ANYTHING up to pull a significant WEIGHT using a "Carabineer" ...They are NOT intended for Any type of a Load such as this is ...
@@Wilett614 Buddy. You're wrong. Flat out wrong plain and simple. They make carabiners rated for 70kn. That's serious weight. They're made of steel so they are intended for very heavy weights. You don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about. Stop misinforming people out of your stupidity.
Connect the snatch block carabiner to both ends of the strap! It will double the load capability of the strap and not strain it as much as with the single choke hook setup!
Why pick her for this video? She was just regurgitating information she was recently taught. Her strap for the winch base was sloppy and saggy, but after the next camera cut it was fixed properly. Just have the knowledgeable person make the video. She was out of her element and it took away from the video.
Rite. On the tree sling you set it around like a choke. On those slings and in that type of job just put the carabiner or d shackle thru the 2 sling eyes as it's stronger.
That PCW3000 is for sure on my bucket list of things to get, it will help for my deer extraction and help me save what's left of my knees and back, looks fantastic and easy to get to remote places great video with excellent explanations.
