I don't have a video of it but I used a wire puller like this www.amazon.com/Klein-Tools-56331-Optimized-Housing/dp/B081TVR4N7/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=wire+puller&qid=1616071539&sr=8-3 and pushed it to the front of the pontoon through the holes I made at the back to drain the water, then after I pulled all the wires out of the hole from the left side I had to push them from the left pontoon over to the right pontoon and that was a tricky part cause I used a steel rod about 1/4 inch diameter and 6 feet long I just taped them too the rod. The right side was easy because of the giant hole I had to make for the switchbox I could just pull all the wires to that.
No, not at all. I did however end up getting an additional small battery just to run the fish finder, and I also bought a new fish finder and gave my old one to my brother in law.
They work great, haven't had any leaks but I did use marine grade silicone to install them with, the scupper plug works great especially when you have to wash out the boat when it gets dirty, it is raised so you have to wipe out a little bit of water but all in all it does what I wanted!!!
make sure to get some marine silicone to put on the bottom and top part when you screw it together, I also cut the bottom part of the plug off after I had everything in place, but it takes a regular boat plug.
Your boat is absolutely beautiful. You should be very proud of yourself for having the skills to be able to do the upgrades. It was absolutely amazing what you can do to one of these little, reasonably priced watercraft. It certainly gives the rest of us some ideas and shows us that it certainly is not necessary to spend $15,000 on an entry-level bass tracker in order to get on the water and enjoy a day of fishing. Congratulations!
Thanks for the comment, I will eventually get a bigger boat, but you are right, it gets me on the water and I have caught alot of fish out of it over the past year!!!
How long does the battery last with everything on? I use a deep cycle for the trolling motor then I have 2 simple lawn batteries for dept finder. Been thinking of adding night lights.
well I haven't had it out for long at night yet but with the trolling motor that has variable speed control and my depth finder running, I have had all the lights on at night for about 2 hr's at the most after about 6hr's of fishing ... so a total of 8 hr's and I didn't even use half my battery if that helps.
@@alanstansbery does having a switch box mess with the wires going from the battery to the nav lights? I'm guessing you have to connect the same wires to the box in order for it to work, sorry if I sound confusing this is my first time messing with wires and modifying a boat haha
@@sheepdogproductions1272 you have a main power wired coming from the battery to the switchbox, I recommend putting an inline switch like I have done to cut off the main power supply when you aren't using it. I then go from my main power switch to the main input on the switchbox which will send power to all the switches, put your nav lights on one switch and your other lights on seperate switches or whatever you want to add to your switchbox, hope that helps!!!
@@alanstansbery I understand but basically my nav light wires will only be plugged into the switch box, which is plugged into my main battery. My nav light wires will never interact with the main battery only the switch box?

@@alanstansbery Indeed , The Basics Are First To Get It Functional And Fishable , Youu Have A Good Start On there ,, Any Particular Type Fishing That You Do ?? Bass ? Catfishing ? Panfish ?
@@alanstansbery it's kinda a seasonal Thing Here , I do Some Bass in early spring and then when the top Water Lures are productive I like that but I'm also Catfishing , Of Course The Crappie in the spring , Bluegills And Shell Cracker from about May along thru Warmer months and Catfishing As well , I do a little Bit Of Coastal Brackish Water Fishing in the smaller Channels , Not Alot of that But It's A Seasonal Thing , It Can be Fun If You Can Find Fish In there, I intend to put the Raider to use in those Channels For Specks ,Reds And Flounder in the Fall Runs , BUT I Surely Do enjoy Catfishing year round , Channel Cats Never let ya down as a rule , I can Usually Find A Few Eaters when i want some for dinner , especially During Lower Water levels In The River or Creek Fishing in the Deep Bends And Holes I Enjoy , I'm gonna put a small outboard on the Raider To Take Me To My Spots Quicker ,the current for the most part is not bad but a Trolling motor just ain't quiet big enough or fast enough for the River ,it's nit the Mississippi River or nuttin just a small one but it still is free flowing water so there's some current ,during dead low summer months it's a easy Flow for the most part ,
