No offense to anyone but I’ve been to a white salon and they couldn’t do something like this on our type of hair. It was so frustrating to watch. I love me a Dominican hairstylist
In my opinion most Dominican stylist are NO where near as scissor happy as black stylist. They actually care about preserving your length and cut only what needs to be cut. I’m a black woman and I will not go to a black stylist for a trim. I’m not speaking for all just the ones I’ve ran across
Real good dialogue.. makes me want to watch the things I say.. sometimes it can be so natural to just say certain things. But our hair is beautiful and we should use words that reflect that.
I’ve learned from my local Dominican salon that their hair is just as thick as our hair and a lot of times they get relaxers. She told me that her hair is thicker than mine. Also from going to school for cosmetology I’ve learned it’s not a lot of heat at all it’s really steam which is sometimes good for your scalp
Hi see no it didn’t cause I had them put heat protector on there which I provided myself and my hair was in a real healthy state prior to this heat massacre they laid on my head lol
Did your hair break off? I know mine did... I didn't know they add perm in their conditioner! After seeing my hair had 3 textures; stringy, thick and thin it started breaking off and it never was the same. I had to cut my beautiful Afro off and start from scratch! #pissedinphilly
Hipp's Daughter no my hair didn’t break cause I don’t straighten my hair or put heat on it within the year. Also I brought my own heat protectant and they sprayed it on there.
