See this is what a normal not crazy person who dresses in drag actually looks like in public. Just regular clothes like everyone else. None of this weirdo freak olympics pedophile shit that the media keeps trying to push onto children
When we were dating, my first husband asked me whether I had been born male. His reasoning? I wouldn't put out for him right away, so he convinced himself I wasn't sleeping with him because I was secretly a man! **facepalm** Now, with all the so-called "transvestigators" around, anyone could potentially be accused of being any gender by people who think they can figure it out based on unscientific "evidence."
The hysteria has absolutely ramped up in the past few years. In some ways, it is worse for any perceived enemy who is a drag queen or LGBT or whatever.
Remember when conservative programs were pro-trans and actually realistically depicted the complexities of being trans? Yeah, King Of The Hill was great. Mike Judge has always been a genius, and honestly modern conservatives have a LOT they could learn from this program
@@eshaanreza832 it was incredibly conservative, and appealed primarily to conservative audiences due to their relation to Hank. Mike Judge isn't like most people though, he seems to be a political centrist himself, so that does reflect in the show. But it's not progressive in the way that shows like Schitt's Creek or even American Dad (which shares an incredibly similar theme to KoTH) are. It's progressive in terms of how conservative values often misrepresent their own goals and intentions, and Hank depicts the outrage towards progress. I'm interested to see how Judge frames the reboot given the time jump and the new circumstances
Cartoons really do recycle each other's storylines. Marge Simpson had a gambling problem at the casino. Then Lois from family guy has the same addiction. Plus In family guy Joe tries out for the special Olympics. Then a few years later in south Park Cartman does the same thing. And just like Peggy here Marge later met new people who thought she was a drag queen.
You see, this would probably be very different if this episode came out nowadays. "Caroline" would probably have dyed-hair, and would be even more flamboyant than portrayed here; Oh, and I'd be willing to bet dollars to donuts that instead of being uncomfortable with finding out Peggy really was a woman, they'd probably get upset and make a scene about it. Y'all are probably thinking I'm going off of stereotypes - _that_ is how most gay and even LGBT characters are written today. Instead of being their own character that just so happens to be gay, their whole identity and how they behave and act centers around it now. It's poor writing, and even comes off as more offensive than they realize.
