Absolutely! Goin through ACT trainings, one of the primary takeaways for practicing ACT is that it's meant to be combined with other interventions. For instance, ACT can be the general framework and we can use CBT interventions to assist with working towards committed, value-based action.
I hate that I feel awful for about 3 weeks every single month. From irritability, to full body itching, to constant anxiety that feels like I'm being suffocated while having a heart attack, to suicidal thoughts, to analysis paralysis. It's hell to try and reach my goals in life when all I have to work with is 7 days every month.
Thank you for this...I meditate quite often, however this morning was unusually stressed-uncomfortable in my own skin. This did the trick...thank you again. I truly appreciate you taking the time to upload this for all to use
This has worked wonders for me. I find your voice very calming, loved the relaxing background music and I personally found the counting pattern worked very well for me. Other video's tend to follow a slower count down which makes me focus in on my breathing only which (for me) makes me feel light headed. This session has released my brain fog and helped lift that 'heavy' feeling from my shoulders. Thank you for helping my anxious state ❤
Thank you. This is my first time trying this. Will continue to persist on to see the results. I love your calm and soothing voices. Love from SG (Singapore) ❤
This was wonderful. I never really sat down to try anything like this and it was so interesting and I really enjoyed how it slowed me down. I will be doing this daily.
Really appreciate the efficient time lengths on this channel and the opportunity to lay down or be seated. I have a condition that doesn’t allow me to sit! Thanks again.
Hi Katie, we absolutely love hearing your voice with the soothing meditations. My son was asking if you could make a couple more breathing meditations? Box breathing one is our favorite, followed by 4-7-8 but we love all of them. Thank you for your consideration and pouring your best into this channel!
Some practices can help a bit more than others depending on our level of anxiety and how we uniquely respond to guided practices such as this. I would encourage you to try out other types of practices to see which feel best for you. I will attach a few options here for you - Here is a slower guided breathwork practice - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5BKH82un37I.htmlsi=NJsaivMwUav_O1Tm Here is a different variation of a calming breath practice without the counting - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gq4eDIjuhdc.htmlsi=3uhEK7q0Vgg8FsS3 And another type of guided practice geared towards calming anxious thoughts (without counting) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--dNrfmQ84ds.htmlsi=bSI4O2nXEYktLEkl I hope these are helpful!🙏
I would encourage you to listen to your body as best as you can as you practice guided practices like this, or if you are leading yourself through breathwork practices. Practicing breathwork 2-3 times throughout the day is typically a good place to begin, and it can be helpful to incorporate it into routines already set in place (morning routine, bed time routine, etc.). This video may be of benefit to you as well - It touches on the root causes of anxiety and how to effectively work with your body to find peace - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XxK3paVWnSs.html I hope this helps!
Are there any similar videos to this? I really like this video, but I would like to have a few options as I try to practice my breathing exercises once a day to reduce my anxiety. Thanks
I am glad you have found this practice helpful! I have a few breath work style meditations linked in this playlist - ru-vid.com/group/PLZ6X6_wW9qhiB3XKFdebQvXmTtk-bhlJh&si=PNr2XJ645IP8on2A I hope these help 🙏🏻
