Nice tutorial. I am trying to figure out my setup, what I would like to be absolutely portable. android phone, power bank, and portable speaker with jack input. The only issue I got is no sound output on the FLX4 rca and headphone jack. the controller works fine with android rekordbox. full control, signal levels. but no clue why there is no output. Did try with bluetooth, there is output from the phones jack, but still nothing from the controller rca. my device is not Samsung android, that can be the issue,i think. My partner's S20 hooked up in a moment and there is output on the rca. with the bluetooth sounds fine, but no headphone. also with the splitter cable, there is audio output, but mono and I dont like it. I would like to use the controllers RCA,headphone jack and mic input, connected to an android phone and a portable speaker with jack input. I have an Asus Rog phone 8pro what is a flagship device, and I dont understand why I cant get audio out of the controller, when there are signal levels when playin music. any idea anyone? thank you
you can just make your headphone go into the cue thingy and then press the cue button on the master level and turn the knob for cue mix all the way to the right
Half of the steps in this video can be ignored, you can just modify the rekordbox settings to output audio through the mobile device instead of the controller removing the need for half of these steps. And you also get the low latency of a wired connection for mixing compared to Bluetooth latency. And if you still want to charge your device, most modern portable chargers can supply 9V of power through a USB-C output. No hate on the video, just saying there is a simpler method to this that is much less time consuming and requires less steps ❤
lol. No you can’t. It has to be Bluetooth or the audio is coming out of the flx4. There’s no way to have audio out of the iPad or tablet mobile device whatever.
Answering myself: No it doesn't, as the sound card of the FLX4 doesn't get used. You'll need an audio splitter cable to be able to cue music to headphones from your iPad, and as a result, you will only have mono-out, and you will not be able to connect to speakers via Bluetooth, because iPads don't have good audio routing.
@@deutschlanddeutschland7111 exactly, power in is for the sound card... i dont get this video at all. The way i do it: FlX4 to Ipad, via the pc/phone output. And a usb out from my bluetooth speaker goes to the power of the FLX4. Then i go RC out to jack in the speaker. This way i could charge the speaker and play for hours in different locations apart from home. Using a JBL Boombox 2 in case your wondering, It has enough battery power to charge the ipad 2x (And flx4 soundcard) while in the same time playing at full volume lasting me about 12/18 hours. Could be really usefull if you want to make a banger mix in the forrest :P
@@TAZMOSPHERE That's pretty damn cool, this way you don't even need a battery pack! And if I understand you right; you're able to use the FLX4s soundcard like that? Will try it as soon as I get my boombox back, tomorrow or so
'Cause this is not the Mark Kross version... Mark Kross did them individually... this simpleton is trying to do what the ppl wanted.. but he cannot get the "hawk tuah" in sync.....
(GENUINE RANT) And then you bump it and since all the cheap ports are already gaped out from all the plugfuckin you gotta do, you gotta do it all over again. I genuinely hate this thing. Had it for a year and hated every minute of the 2 hours ive tried to use it. I now know its not even usable on android cus you have to put your device in mono to get sound out of the cue port and even then the cue sound blasts out of the master and NOTHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT. Not to mention you can hear the other track out the master even when the fader is all the way to one side. That's IF you can even do the hokey pokey bs to get sound in the first place. And yes it took about 2 uses for the cue port to start shorting out if you touch it. Ive been using this $300 unit as an aux dongle so I can listen to RU-vid cus that's literally all I CAN do with it. I thought I was just too dumb to figure it out but turns out it's actually just really terrible. Id prefer to just whip it at the wall at this point but I'll probably sell it and get an old iPhone (gross) and a dj2go2 cus that looks actually functional. Apparently FLX stands for "Fragile, laborious and X-austing."
Thanks! Been trying to figure out if I can use the laptop speakers for easy practice. I assume it'll work on a Macbook the same way? Does the laptop also power the flx 4? Wondering for the phone as a screen, can you use the flx 4 cfx knobs and it'll work? Saw another video where that wasn't the case
I hate having to plug, unplug all the time in order for rekordbox to recognize my FLX4. Great way to wear down USB C ports on my laptop and controller.
TNX FOR INFO MAN👏👏👏 I connected flx 4 to iphone (application update 4.1.0, I don't see any point in updating further. Android does not work for some reason..) to 5V 3A connector to the usual power bank, everything works immediately with sound. (I listen with bluetooth headphones) + bought a 9v 3A adapter in case charging is required [I`m writing exclusively about using without speakers]
Can you split the sound from the iPad to your bluetooth headphones in stereo? So that you can pre-listen via audio cue? And still be connected to external speakers via Bluetooth?
Is this a standard powerbank you are using or a special one to power the controller? I was thinking of just taking my phone, flx4 and powerbank outside
@@frederikhendrik6913 get any powerbank with an output capability of atleast 10 wats (almost any modern one will work). the flx4 is just a midi controller with a sound card. it doesnt need much power. i use Anker's 20,000mah batter. works great.
Hey man, how did your build go? There hasn't been any updates since the unboxing so just wondering what whp you running and how the block is holding up?
Bri your CRX? Has gotta be one of the nicer builds Ive seen! Im working on restoring a CRX now got it with a JDM k20a installed but they half assed the whole install so Im starting from square one this winter re painting the shell and reinforcing the subframe (k member) and now thinking I should do my trailing arms as well as front knuckles! Did you powder coat your knuckles or just paint? Looks phenomenal! Any leaks with the rear lines? Chase has the best quality parts! Whats your intsagram love to see the progress?
