I didn't really think people find any diamonds, but a week after we were there someone found a nice sized diamond. Just found your channel and I'm loving it 😊

What a great hike, and it brings back a rush of memories.I remember that hike, haha so brutal on the return. I swam in that water, so so cold. Has it really been 20 years? damn. 2002ish. When I went there was no people limit because so few did it. Same log cabin tho. thanks for posting brings back lots of memories. I remember it being fun on the way down lol. i camped a couple of days, totally worth it

Great video! Thank you for posting about this. I want to do more backpacking. I’m going to check out what equipment you used for this trip. I think I want a different backpack, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad. After my first overnight trip I know I need some changes. I hardly slept at all, too uncomfortable. Also I’m looking for a 2-3 day backpacking trail to try in January in Arizona. I was hoping maybe this one would be good but looks like maybe it gets below freezing in January in Sedona so maybe not! If you have any suggestions please let me know.
@blackhikingqueen
@blackhikingqueen 7 дней назад
Hey April! aww no sad to hear you didn't get any sleep.. check out my LTK I've saved my favorite there.. I'll drop the link below. This trail is great but hard because there were no water sources when we went... also yes it will probably be extremely cold and could snow.. it snowed when I went in the Spring.. so we had to hurry up and cut it short. I would look at AllTrails and see if there are other ones. unless you want to try the winter backpacking

I traveled out west from NY to Tucson Az. In 1973/4. At that time the public could actually go into some chivas. Looking from their point of view was incredible. Beautiful and Spiritual place. Seeing the grinding boulders where they made Pine Nut Flour and the ancient way of life touched me in a way that is understandable. I was in my early 20's, driving a new Dodge Vision Van. Windows so I didn't miss a thing. Alone with God and myself soaking in the glorious beauty of this great nation. The Rangers were so personable and happy to share their experiences. Lifetime experience.

Great video! Husband and I went to Mesa Verde a few years ago, camped in that campground, and we also encountered the deer! A small herd decided to lay down in our campsite and just stare at us for an hour. They were probably disappointed that we didn't offer them any snacks.
