Hey mate, thanks for the info. Quick question, I am wanting to know if these have the same (or maybe even better) low light performance as the Diamondback HD 10x50s? Exit pupil is smaller in the 12x50s, I'm just hoping that the better optical system and glass compensates.
The one in the video is a turret press. So while it can hold multiple dies at one, it only performs a single function at a time. Single stage is usually a great way to start out, single die press or turret press work the same. A progressive press that performs multiple functions at the same time is great, especially for handgun rounds, but it can be easier to learn on a single stage first up.
Not always, but it's their alignment to the reticle that is of most importance. The bubble level on the turret is an approximation and should be checked against a plumb line in the field of long rage shooting is on the agenda.
I think there is a good reason to use a one piece cantilever mount on a precision rifle, and it's because the entire mount is cheaper than a set of matched scope rings in many cases, and performs the same.
The Diopter focus ring WILL have a minimal effect on downrange focus. Shooters with great vision that can have the ring screwed all the way in will find that the Parallax focus knob range markings will be more accurate, while older shooters may find that once the Diopter is focused for their weaker vision will find that the Parallax focus knob range markings will be less accurate. There is a relationship there between the Diopter focus and the Parallax knob. A better plan is the put your scope in a vice and shine a bright LED light into the back of the scope to illuminate the reticle. Do this in a way that the light isn't shining back into your eye, but only on the reticle. So, the smaller the light the better. Then you can get the sharpest focus possible because you will see the reticle MUCH BETTER and easier.
@Scoped Out Would you consider getting the Th35 v2 over the Tl35 v2 or is it not worth the extra cost. Plus are you able to record video with audio on the Th35 v2
How is the battery life? Is the 850 red light very bright / obvious.. can it withstand recoil from a 300 won mag? Can it handle recoil from a .308? What kind of batteries does it take?. Thanks!
Great video - very helpful and valuable for anyone considering a purchase of such a scope. We see most of these scope in the US where I live (Texas) - and we also see IOR valdada - are those available in your neck of the woods?
Ummm....maybe use consistent pressure? At any rate, Nightforce by a country mile. I don't give two $hits how it sounds, I like the actual bulletproof, never fail aspect.
If you could adjust it via remote or on the pod, thats definitely awesome. If its remote only, I think that too limiting. Hopefully it can be adjusted both ways.
