I've been suffering for years now. Failed with over 15 medications. I don't really see a future anymore. I live three hours from Toronto. I have no access to this treatment. What are poor people supposed to do? We are the ones that need it the most.

It does not cost you anything. What is your disorder? Have you looked into focused utrasound at Sunnybrook? It is much more specific and effective for depression, OCD and anxiety. Check it out. I'm signed on, for six months from now, for OCD. I've also failed with over 15 medications.

Whenever I get the crazy idea that my I.Q. level might be higher than average (a notion for which, BTW, I can find no empirical evidence), I go to RU-vid and search for two brainiacs in conversation - such as the two gentlemen who appear in this video. This little Brain Game invariably brings me crashing back down to Planet Earth where (for lack of any viable alternative) I am forced to resume living/existing/whatever in what seemingly reasonable, intelligent people insist on calling "The Real World." Interestingly, for me The End Result is always extremely positive, even if I have very little (if any) familiarity with the topic that is being discussed. This reinforces my belief that Thinking is (or, at least should be) Fun, rather than a chore, and that if more people would give (rational) Thinking a try (even as a hobby), they might find "The Real World" to be a more tolerable place to Pass the Time until It's All Over.

it surprises me that your able to cure depression in only 5 days. have you followed these people for longer periods of time to see if it actually works long term? sometimes depression can go away and come back. i heard there was a depression implant device tested on someone (named sarah) that sent shock to region of her brain when rumination thoughts would get strong. this seems to be a good idea. our brains were built with a law that "good cannot exist without bad". so anytime we experience good, we experience bad(mental pain such as depression, anxiety, anger, stress) in approximately the same amounts and strength ( at least based on my experience ). when you take a first bite of something sweet your pleasure system is strong and it decreases as you eat more. same thing happens with suffering ( though there are spikes every few seconds as well as with eating). the suffering seems to involve rumination thoughts. im curious to know how sarah's pacemaker similar device has affected her ratio of good/bad. there are many things that can cause people to become sad. for example, comparing yourself with others, craving attention, loneliness, suicidal thoughts can all lead to big episodes of sadness. i have also done a 20 day fast and i remember feeling very sad about not having food. does recent development of TMS only work on suicidal thoughts or does it work on depression overall? would it be easier for a person to lose weight since their depression is healed?

Accelerated TMS was successful for 10 days. What protocol for maintenance?
@janetchandler4141

My dau h ter recently received ACCELERATED TMS (SAINT PROTOCOL) 5 days w 10 treatments a day. She was TRD and had tried 40 medication had ect and Spravato treatment with no success. We traveled from Michigan to Las Vegas atTMS Brain Health. It was completely successfu She was her old self, feeling amazing, but only lasted for 10 days. She is severely depressed again. She is beginning tms maintenance. My question would be what kind of maintenance she should receive to get her back? I am hoping they would be aggressive seeing her accelerated protocol is the first and wonderfully successful treatment that worked.

Hello, Janet. I am also a Mom searching for TMS treatment for my daughter. My daughter cannot take medication, because of an immunological condition. She only takes homeopathy. When you say your daughter had 40 kinds of Medications, I wondered what human beings can take so much. I also have a boy who is autistic but I never wanted to give him meds and I never did. Well, I am just searching it for my daughter because she has been doing Psychological therapy but it is not enough because she is developing OCD. What I have noticed is that depending on the State or Clinic they offer a different quantity of sessions. What I have learned from my search is that people with severe depression would need to take 6 to 8 weeks of treatment. Whoever has a severe case of depression would intensive care but not accelerated care. I do not know which State you live in. I live in Miami, FL, and thru the Clinics here, so far they recommend a 6 to 8 weeks treatment with maintenance along the way, as needed. If were you, I would search for different clinics. I have noticed that other states may offer a 20-week treatment. If your daughter has a severe case diagnosed, I would suggest that you search for a more consistent program for your daughter. Most of the clinics here offer one first consultation to make sure the patient qualifies for the treatment. My biggest wonder is how long a treatment may last, that's why I was watching this interview with Dr. Linda Carpenter. I trying to learn more about it before I commit to any clinic. I wish the best of luck to you and your daughter and may God cover you both with many blessings. so long, Lucy (from Miami, FL). Take care!

When Dr. Albin Oliveria -Maia mentioned MT assessment as "time-consuming." However, with an H-Coil rechecking MT is not time-consuming. Unless he meant rechecking several different locations. If they come in with a material change in caffeine, medication, or sleep, we see a change in MT by several units.
