Liam Neeson has got the Lansing look, But getting up in years. I’d like to see a thoughtful director like Christopher Nolan do a big budget version…it’s an interesting premise. Chris Pine has matured nicely, maybe he could pull it off for today’s market. Too good for TV.
@@boomretromikestuart2823 also notable is that Robert Lansing who played the 4d Man also played Gary 7 on a particular episode of Star Trek. One of its stars was Patty Duke at a young age.
I’ve seen that episode. Lansing was an interesting guy, didn’t care for much TV, felt most scripts were overly simplistic and the American public couldn’t handle “grown up” issues. Consider it lucky when you see him on a show, he turned down more than he accepted.
Yeah, this one is a cheapie but I still love it. It may not be an award winner but it's far from being one of the worst movies ever. I say it's a lot of cheesy fun.
Yeah, agree! Still dull. Sometime I’ll have to make a list of worse movies of the decade. Compared to some of the stuff they made…”Angry Planet “ could be considered Cadillac material.(LOL).
I'm seeing this as part of a "genre" and 1950/60s era Kid-safe horror, allowed to be played at weekend matinees. Some small towns and cities had strict laws against certain genres, creating a market.
@@juniorjames7076 well said! You may have point here, his other two films were a “safe zone” too. I think the film needed a more creative director…it lacks a certain “spark”.
The Angry Red Planet wasn't that bod for a 0 era childrens movie. Giant amoebas ate people alive and some dangerious sounding aliens told earth people not to return to Mars because we were too warlike.
Agree. Extremely talented. She was always a sweet individual always maintained a genuine public persona despite difficult upbringing with her father & of course personal tragedies. Glad you enjoyed the interview!
@@boomretromikestuart2823 I've noticed that SO MANY great stars lived under the iron fist of their fathers, like Connie, like The Beachboys, Like Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, and especially the big movie stars like MacCauley Culkin and the great Jackie Cooper. It's a terribly sad legacy.
Ha! Brother, you & me both! Dodged that answer pretty good. Cab was full of fun that day especially, just wouldn’t play it straight but he was ultra cool back in the day. When I go out for breakfast, still, nobody can tell me what the hell my eggs are on the “Jersey Side”! The mystery lives on!
"Secret Agent" in America, the best spy show of them all and I watched every single one of them and, as a rule, loved them all. Drake, unlike Napoleon Solo and Kelly Robinson, was not a womanizer. In fact, several episodes had Drake rescue an agent who had gotten himself in trouble due to womanizing. I have the hour long "Danger Man" series which IMHO is superior to the half hour shows (paid a pretty penny for them, too.)
Absolutely true…stories were not far fetched like all the other tv fare. I pretty much enjoy anything McGoohan does…great commanding style. Glad you’ve got a collection, they’re always worth a revisit! Cheers!
You make an interesting observation however, America would not be the first…surely you’re aware of the French novel “The Count Of Monte Cristo” 1800. The United Kingdom gave us THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL around 1904 which was also the model for ZORRO. All of these fictional characters came into being from accounts of real corrupt politicians not serving the public good. All of these masked or secret identities were popular in film. The fail of The Shadow seems to be the over the top style that really only worked on radio. With all that said: Universal Pictures gave it a good go!
“Amen Brother “…you are sooo correct! The last Craig flick I didn’t even bother with because the producers were messing with the hero too much! Now they regret it. I’m done with their BS Concepts. I’ll watch the old ones.
Hello Boom, this Mashup is cool. I'm 73 and remember every bit you showed us!!! The music was perfect, and the different colors added are fun. Keep going.!!👍🇺🇲
Nice edit bro! Sean Connery is a great Bond, but he's not the best one imo. Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig are the best imo I would say Daniel Craig is the greatest Bond, but my favorite is Pierce Brosnan. 1. Pierce Brosnan 2. Daniel Craig 3. Timothy Dalton 4. Roger Moore 5. Sean Connery 6. George Lazenby 1. GoldenEye 2. Skyfall 3. Casino Royale 4. Tomorrow Never Dies 5. The World Is Not Enough 6. No Time To Die 7. Spectre 8. On Her Majesty's Secret Service 9. From Russia With Love 10. Licence To Kill 11. For Your Eyes Only 12. The Living Daylights 13. The Spy Who Loved Me 14. Goldfinger 15. Octopussy 16. Live And Let Die 17. A View To A Kill 18. Thunderball 19. Dr No 20. You Only Live Twice 21. Quantum of Solace 22. Die Another Day 23. Moonraker 24. The Man With The Golden Gun 25. Diamonds Are Forever Unofficials 26. Never Say Never Again 27. Casino Royale 1967 28. Casino Royale 1954
Interesting choices. Perhaps, it’s a generational thing but Connery as a certain demeanor that I feel carries to the screen larger than the others. It’s an attitude I enjoy. Craig, 1st runner up then Brosnan. The films became technically more slick granted, but it’s the attitude of Connery that fits so well. Cheers! PS> 1. Goldfinger 2. Casino Royale 3. Skyfall 4. Goldeneye 5. From Russia etc. The rest, anyway you want as far as the level of entertainment.
@@boomretromikestuart2823 I watched all the Bond films 10 times and honestly, as you can see I prefer the Bond with a serious tone.. I like Bernard Lee as M, but my favorite M is Judi Dench... She's so perfect in the role imo. I like the movies when she's involved with Bond.. (Skyfall and The World Is Not Enough). The reason why I have GoldenEye, Skyfall and Casino Royale as the best Bond films are because of the villains.. For me 006 (GoldenEye) and Raoul Silva (Skyfall) are the best Bond villains.. Le Chiffre (Casino Royale) is in my top 3... I also like Franz Sanchez (Licence To Kill), Red Grant (From Russia With Love), Scaramanga (The Man With The Golden Gun), Max Zorin (A View To A Kill), Blofeld (On Her Majesty's Secret Service), Kananga (Live And Let Die), Drax (Moonraker) are the best Bond villains... I like Goldfinger too but he's overrated imo.. I think Jaws and Oddjob are much more memorable than their main villains.. My favorite henchman/henchwoman is Xenia Onatopp.. She is so memorable and 006 is also my favorite Bond villain.. Silva is second .. Yes, Telly Savalas's Blofeld (On Her Majesty's Secret Service) is the best Blofeld imo.. I love Spectre and it is so underrated.. Blofeld in Spectre was a mess, but I like the action sequences and it is a guilty pleasure lol. I like all the Bond actors and I also like all the Bond films even my least favorites.. I can't wait for the new Bond film Can you rank all the James Bond, Mission Impossible, John Wick, Jason Bourne, Indiana Jones, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Rambo, Terminator Jack Ryan, Jack Reacher, Fast and Furious, Rocky, Batman, Spider-man, Superman, MCU, DCEU, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Scream, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Child's Play, Alien, Predator movie franchises etc etc.. Why not a video of your top 10-20 best action movies, best horror movies, best crime movies (Godfather, Goodfellas, Scarface) etc.. Also can you rank, why not director's movie like Scorsesse, Coppola, Cameron, Tarantino, Nolan, Spielberg, Ridley Scott, Wes Craven, John carpenter, movies in each video.. Yes, I give you a lot of content 💀
Yes! Lots & lots on content from you. I appreciate the info & thoughts Maybe some day I can work out a top 10 on these various films but I don’t have the time presently to work out such a challenge. I believe there’s some RU-vid channels that already do this and provide not only debate but do constant updates on all these spectacular movies and actors. My channel doesn’t focus on any particular subject…I just put out amusing subject matter on various topics or mash up songs just for the hell of it! Usually, lasting 5 minutes or shorter. Most recent is on Valentine’s Day…only goes 90 seconds. Thanks for the input, maybe another time but not for now.
