In my day, you'd have to be on your deathbed to NOT go to work. And that was our choice because we had a backbone and work ethic. If we had a bad flu, that needed a Dr visit, we then didn't work. This generation is such a bunch of soft sookie la la's.

I’m an 80s bloke. And I just did a 3 week swing away. And I was crook the whole Fkn time. I sucked it up and did my 12 hour days. This generation soft as butter!
So if we force sick people to go in we end up (especially in office environments) with a wave of sickness that impacts wider prodictivity. While I get theres "powering through", that attitude led to multiple covid and flu waves through the workforce. Led to the few who werent bed ridden for a week+ having to be overworked. Have we not learnt anything from covid?
