I haven't seen this movie in years but I'm looking for the scene where shaft tails how much money is going to cost and bumpy is like damn! Shaft says I thought you said money don't matter. And bumpy says money always matter
In the 80s all the Shaft movies and the 7 tv episodes would play on Saturday afternoons. Lots of bleeping. I wasn’t even in high school yet but damn I wanted to know what Shaft was saying. I still love these movies. They seem more honest than today’s offerings.
Awesome part of the original shaft movie. Moses and richard negotiating eh, pure fkn class. This is one of those gold plated original movies. Pure 70's vibe,
@@dwightlove3704 That's right. They went with Roundtree because they thought that his appearance was more unequivocally Black. This was also why U"Neal, unlike Roundtree, couldn't have a successful modelling career, although he was regarded as a handsome guy.
Sam is a great actor , but Richard is a much more of a natural . I'm working on my own movie . But in time I will hire Richard Roundtree . Why because he is a natural not to take anything from Sam. What has bothered me years . Is why they never called Richard Roundtree for a acting job .
No i love when he throws the money on the table then the soft music comes on an he pulls out his hankie to wipe his tears an says " when will i hear from you" lol classic
Shaft: Got any idea who grabbed her? Bumpy: Lot of cats hate my guts. Shaft: Sweet...lovin' dude like you? Sweet talkin' a man's old lady while you're beatin' her old man out of his paycheck in the backroom of a horse parlor...Feeding his kid shit to shoot in his arm...Who could hate you, Bumpy?
Great scene between Gunn and Roundtree ,Both legends in this 53 years on ,R I P to both along with Isaac Hayes who did the music for this ,Thanks also to the late Gordon Parks who directed this 1971 Iconic Classic .
