got a 2023 230 rs to tune my 2 wheel skills. always a mad man on quad but not a lot of two wheel time. definitely a different animal. suspension up front way too soft wish it had inverted forks like the 300r. only went with rs because I'm 5'9 in morning with a short inseam and I'm on tip toes even on the RS.
Quick question bro I bought a 2012 450 kx and sent it to get an engine rebuild bc of a clicking noise I just got it back yesterday and still has it is i heard it’s normal does yours have it as well payed 3 grand for the rebuild don’t want to mess it up more if it is messed up
Also my first bike, and I didn't realize how easy it would be to tear up lol. Easily bent the shift lever and rear break lever. But alas I'm still learning and other than the bs that I've dealt with from it it is really fun lol.
I haven’t had any problems with mine yet. A month into having it I accidentally drove it off a cliff and everything was fine and still is. But I will never go trail riding again 😂
It has just the right suspension travel and seat height for trail riding and occasional medium sized jumps. I like air cooled four strokes, with some maintenance they go forever. I may buy one.
Just picked up a kx250 and the kx250x and I was starting the heat cycle but on the first cycle about 5 minutes in they both started to leak coolant. Did I let them idle to long or did the dealership put too much coolant in??
@@DeepSouthKawasaki And you're advice keeps your mechanics busy while doing nothing at all for the bikes. They don't even need 93 octane let alone alcohol. They don't even need 93 octane let alone alcohol.
@@hunterhill1013 No, it isn’t an A-kit. Not even close. You must be relatively a noob on MX because KYB is the top-of-the-line suspension these days. And, l ain’t the one saying it, listen to them Pros…
My klx 450 has the kyb aos which is the forks everybody raves about. They are very similar to the design of the closed cartridge showa 49mm forks The comfort everyone raves about is all in the valving. You can make either suspension feel however you want..its all in the valving/spring rate/oil viscosity and oil level. Eli tomac is ONE pro that prefers kyb over showa. If showa is horrible how come honda engineers choose showa, kawasaki engineers (which design effin jets and shyt) choose showa, suzuki engineers choose showa...you are just a kayaba fan boy and thats cool or whatever but this is basically A kit suspension itll handle whateber lap times you are pulling with ease
@@hunterhill1013 LMAO! First of all, you’re totally clueless, dude! The KYBs “everybody raves about” as you put it is the SSS forks. Now, you really don’t think l know that l can make my suspension the way l want with custom valving and/or spring rates? LOL! BTW, Honda owns Showa, but even so, they have been using KYB components on different bike for decades. I ain’t a “fan boy” of anything as I’d take the Showa forks on the WE as l like either or depending on the bike. Lastly, this is not basically an A-kit fork. You’ve clearly no clue what an A-kit is like. More proof you know shit about the sport…
I would look into the closest dealer to you and see if you can sit on one. If you are near us, we have a few, and you are more than welcome to stop by and see.
