Music fans worldwide know Nashville as the epicenter of country music, and Music City Roots embraces and builds on that foundation. MCR is broadcast to a global audience, not just as the keeper of the traditional flame, but as a trusted tastemaker that looks to the future of music in all its forms and sub-genres: bluegrass, folk, alternative, western, rockabilly and crossovers into rock, jazz and world music.
If you hear this song and it doesn't move you in some way then there is no hope for you. This is honestly one of the peak musical performances of the 2010s.
Also came here after hearing a concert (SOUL BLUEGRASS MEETS ETC.) LIVE AT ESTIVAL JAZZ LUGANO 2010 after I realized how Ryan's part made it that much better - IF that was possible~ after all it's ROBBEN FORD & BILL EVANS (the sax & multi-intramentalist & composer) with the amazing drumming of Toss Panos & the bass player Beppe M. - what a duo in the rhythm! But I have to say this recording is actually more satisfying with Ryan playing with this great group of guys - really WOW!
Can't ever find better technical, musical talent. The themes and lyrics of the songs could be a lot better. Go listen to Steve Earle's 'The Mountain', Copperhead Road, and in fact most of his stuff to see how songs should really be made. Then sit down and write and album.
not a happy bunny, daughter and made the trek to copenhagen to see our favourite band.......but is was cancelled just four hours before the due time !! pretty peed off with that to say the least x
