I remember growing up in Redmond, moved 9 years ago. Back right now, got this video ironically. Back then, only a couple of these apartments were down town and you used to be able to drive through the middle of the Redmond Town Center. So different!

Paying an architect 20% of the total build is insane. Most architects don’t know how to design a home within the budget of the client. In Washington state, architects generally charge around 6-7% of the total build. If you know exactly what you want except for detailed plan like this RU-vidr, go to a drafter who charges a fraction of what architects charge. He’ll know the codes and can produce a detailed plan. Or go to designer builder and negotiate a reduced price since he won’t have to come up with an architectural plan from scratch.
