If you don't have access to high end audio stores to buy connections like this, anywhere that sells welding supplies should have splicing connecters for welding leads that are made for high amperage wires. 4 gauge and below.
Solid brass with a black nickel finish? I never knew brass and black nickel made silver. That shit is aluminum just like all the other shit everybody sells
My moms ex bought me an 1100 watt amp a 1000 watt pioneer 10in band pass sub and 8 gauge wire 😂😂😂 mf set me up to fail. So what’s the best gauge for what I got. Cuz 8 only handles like 550-600 watts
Right angle grinder? It's called an angle grinder because it grinds the edges or 'angles' from metal. It's a metal workers tool. It isn't called a right angle grinder. That'll make you sound smarter ;)
Why brass!!!! I personally would only use solid nickel, Copper nickel plated or gold! Brass just doesn't have the same connectivity for high output systems.
I started using ferrules a while back for a lot of applications, I even use copper ferrules for residential electrical when it's stranded wire. I love using ferrules, but I would've crimped that before installing. I understand the screw would've crimped a spot, but not the whole thing, and will create hot spots where the screw crimps down and doesn't put pressure on the sides. Very clean install, but I wouldn't bet my company on that screw crimping enough.
Still think that soldering the wire and double heat shrink is the best. I just use that coper solder even though it typically don't matter. That amp test and throughput test is better than couplers.
Brother I enjoy your videos they’re very informational , I have a 2003 Lexus es300 would my vehicle require these bypass harnesses ? If so which one please lmk so I’m able to get them asap
The connector is not isolated? That make a bug short curcit when this connector. Is just laying under some interior parts. To be honest i would rather let it stay isolated and not well connected the connected but completely unisolated...
I just installed a gm interface and dual 7 inch touchscreen stereo which turns on and works but the problem is the speakers are quieter and also partially sound like there blown even tho I know there not blown what do I do? I’ve checked every wire connections and rest the interface multiple times to make sure but it never works. I need help ts is so annoying
Crimp the ferrules lol. Also you could just solder the wires then heat shrink over them. Gives the absolute best and strongest connection imo and really isn’t that hard. Though I don’t usually work with that high gauge so i dont know specifically for that
Im surprised its your first time. Jackers today know exactly how to quickly bypass kill switches . Its basically the same thing as a battery isolator in a dual setup, on the ground side and add a fob.
If dudes are asking what ABS is , they are not your larger audience of installers. You explained everything at that , if they cant listen and comprehend your videos as they are, they will never do installs like this. Gorgeous work by the way man. Subbed and supporting.
