The gut hooks are the worst. I read once to just cut the the lure and it would come out or rust out pretty soon. Not sure if it's true, but the guy who told me knows more than I do. Good video.
Those actually are lilly pads. They will open soon. You can catch some hugh fish in the very middle of them, you just have to push up into it. Tokyo rig or anything weedless to punch in there, but the uglier the mess, the more likely a big one is pushed into them. There is a small offshore hump ou thtere before it gets skinny and down by the damn I have had luck on the laydowns. Good editing and video man.
@@imbigboyfishing 100%. It is way more weedless than a chatterbait so you can throw it at logs stuff without getting hung up as much. Swim jig will find the fish fast then you can pick them apart
Yeah man. That's a hog right there. You are spot on that the chatterbait works best with a yo-yo, stop-n-go, or my favorite, ripping. I like to steady retrieve at the bottom with the occassional strong rip then pause while it falls. That pause is money.
