Kzoo Kayak Fishing is based in Kalamazoo Michigan and focuses on sharing the bass fishing experience of the Kalamazoo River and the surrounding watershed!
The irony of giving a shit about the comfort of a fish you set out to hurt in the first place and are continuing to hurt as it suffocates outside of the water is wild
You should check out this new kayak launch in South Haven. Phoenix road. I've kayaked all over Berrien County and areas around and this is by far my favorite route now. Saw blue herrings, a bald eagle, tons of snakes & fish, possums, turtles. All types of wildlife. And since its so new theres barely anyone out there. Check it out bro you will not be disappointed.
A little bit of a beast to paddle... learned that myself today. Its like paddling a barge. Not ever worried about flipping it but need to hit the gym for sure.
First time I took my Outlaw out they were a 15 to 20 mph constant breeze. I paddled it across the lake I was at just so I could back it into some cattails and fished there. Lol
Im assuming you recommend the sit-on kyaks then over the sit-in style?? My cousin lives near Ann Arbor, been planning to go explore some new lakes and rivers up north with him! Any good spots 1-1.5 hour drive from Ann Arbor??
I definitely like the sit on top as it can’t sink lol obviously there will be extreme cases, but they are super stable. And there are lots of good lakes on the east side! St. Clair is my favorite fishery of all time but it can be tough to kayak if the weather is anything but perfect.
@@justinball2250 Imagine hooking someone in the face, dragging them underwater, letting them go back to land to grow and saying that its just "good sport"
@@jacketgreatorex nah man. Having a beer with a sentient fish right now as we type this. He says it’s fine, all in good fun. He appreciates your concern tho.
nice catches, I fish the grand and looking glass up in lansing for smallies. I have decent luck with texas rigged craws but guess I should try more spinner baits
So glad I found this video! I’m traveling up to St Clair to go kayak fishing at the end of this month and staying on Harsens Island so I’ll probably be taking that same route. You slayed em man! Any recommendations for post spawn?
I canoe and kayak camp from allegan dam to new richmond park. Just returned from a 5 day journey. Giant flat head. 40inch pike and many more smallmouth. Love the vids. New subscriber✊️
Is it open for just riverside camping or did u need permit? I’ve been looking for a new place to do overnight river floats and this is not too far from us. Online it’s hard to find info about overnight river trips so any info u have would be welcome.
@@BlondeBell89 there’s a lot of state land below the allegan dam that I would imagine is fine for camping. The stretch in this video doesn’t have that option aside from pitching a tent on small river islands
@BlondeBell89 allegan state game area. Both side of the river from allegan damn to almost new richmond boat launch. Been float camping that area for a few hrs and never run into problems. Other then the gun range that you hear the whole day. It's a great experience
