That looks closer to 20 feet, not 30. I expect that the narrow spray, like any sprayer, will become a wider mist as it goes up, and it likely be ineffective.
This product really works! I had a bad infestation in my kitchen but started seeing them travel throughout my house. I bought this on a Monday and by Friday I was only seeing either dead roaches or one's who could barely move! I had four tubes but only ended up using one and a half throughout my whole house! Best product out there hands down
Any brand can be used as long as your equipment matches the type recommended on the product label. We recommend this affordable sprayer we carry if you are looking to shop with us for a sprayer :) www.domyown.com/chapin-gallon-pump-sprayer-20000-p-65.html
I don't understand the explanation in the video for using shrub height as an alternative to diameter for the calculation of the recipe. I have shrubs that have 3 main stems of about 1.5"-diameter but they then have and another 5-10 much thinner stems of around 1/4-1/3". Their height is around 6'. I was thinking that if you bunched all the stems together, they might be similar to a 5-6" diameter tree. But your shrub calculation seemed to leave some question- can you be more specific? Also, what's the harm if overdose?
Thank you so much. I went through every piece of paperwork that came with my squeeze bottle, and it had ZERO, instructions on how to actually use the bottle
Advion Evolution Cockroach Gel Bait is a newer, improved version of Advion. The bait matrix is more attractive, especially in tougher situations where roach populations may be more established or there is a competing food source. It can also be used as a rotation partner in the rare event that you have a severe infestation and Advion Roach Bait Gel has ceased to be effective. You can read more on the product page here... www.domyown.com/advion-evolution-cockroach-gel-bait-p-17607.html
I would prefer to just use a measuring spoon set I keep for outside chemicals. Hoe many teaspoons or tablespoons do I use per gallon of water for general pest control on the outside of my home? Thanks. John.
Great video! Appreciate the info for sure. A little bit off topic though...... Very cool shades! What kind of sunglasses are those and what's the model?
Check out our guide on Pythium Blight Treatment! Make sure you read the fungicide label carefully to understand the proper mode of application and how often you can apply the fungicide. Under Step 1 we have some excellent fungicides www.domyown.com/pythium-blight-disease-treatment-guide-a-941.html?
I have a situation with leaf hoppers dominating and swarming all over irrigated city boxwoods in planters - can a smaller scoped soak like this work on them? Thanks anyone who can offer a reply!
We would recommend following the Ferti-lome Tree and Shrub Systemic Insect Drench label which states for SHRUBS: Measure the height of the shrub to the nearest foot. Round any inches down to the nearest foot if less than 6” and up to the nearest foot if greater than 6”. Multiply the number of feet by 3 - this is the number of ounces of this product to apply. It is only applied one time per year.
ProCare Bifen 7.9 Insecticide can not be used on concrete or onto doors/garage doors because they are impervious surfaces and EPA regulations says Synthetic pyrethroids being one of the most used ingredients, is also product that runs off of impervious surfaces and into groundwater.
This stuff is AMAZING! I live in humid Atlanta, GA in a neighborhood with lots of trees. During the summer, I spray it around the outside of my house about once a month. It really does create a “bug barrier”. I also have 4 dogs and have never had a problem with them “getting into it”. This is a wonderful video and Demon WP works just as described. Prepare to see bug carcasses after spraying! 😁
So this will only work if you do it pre-seasom such as in the fall for the following spring and summer? I was actually looking up why a large maple tree over my backyard/driveway was dripping sap onto my grass, driveway and vehicles. In my research, I found out that it is not sap from the maple tree, it's actually honeydew from an insect infestation which is how I came to find your video... I was hoping to find something a bit more instant, but for an instant treatment, I'd somehow have to get to the top of the tree and spray... This man does not go more than 6 ft above the ground at any time, so that isn't happening 🤣 I will prepare for an insecticide root drench in the fall. As for this year, I will just deal with washing my car multiple times per week. 😂 Fantastic video and information though, I thank you for it.
Systemic drenches can be used to prevent or also curatively but they take time to work. Drenches may take up to 6 weeks to work. Depending on the severity you may also consider doing a foliar application with a horticultural oil such as Bonide All Seasons Horticultural Spray Oil while you wait for the systemic drench to start working. www.domyown.com/bonide-all-seasons-horticultural-spray-oil-p-1525.html
our guide on chamberbitter here goes over some basics. you’ll need to use a pre emergent weed preventer and a post emergent to kill the weeds you already have. www.domyown.com/how-to-get-rid-of-chamberbitter-a-925.html And feel free to reach out to our customer service during business hours for a product recommendation or to order anything www.domyown.com/pages/contact-us
Per the label, Gentrol Point Source is also intended to be used in various modes of transportation including but not limited to aircraft, buses, trucks, trailers, rail cars, and marine vessels. But please make sure to read the label before using it! www.domyown.com/msds/Gentrol_Point_Source_Label_2020.pdf
I have a concrete slab as patio in the backyard but is 20X15 and i will soon get pavers from corner to corner in the backyard so i can treat the areas that i still dont have any concrete or pavers but what about the concrete area? Do i have to drill a trench? should i tell the installers to drill a long trench in the concrete next to perimeter of the house so i can easily put the liquid before they put the pavers on top? What they are doing is they are not removing the concrete slab but putting recycle concrete on the sides that have dirt to level up the existing concrete slab and then on top they will put the pavers. So should i tell them to drill a trench on the perimeter or should i treat now the area that doesn’t have anything yet and then treat the perimeter of the new patio with pavers? Thank you!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
To treat areas with Termidor SC that have a soil to foundation interruption such as a patio, you would drill holes in the patio using a ½ diameter concrete drill bit that is 18-24 inches long. The holes will be drilled every 12 inches and filled at a rate of 4 gallons of finished solution every 10 feet, just like you were doing in the trench. Please review the Termidor Product Label www.domyown.com/msds/Termidor_SC_Label.pdf and our article How To Do A Termite Treatment www.domyown.com/subterranean-termite-treatment-guide-a-478.html for all the proper techniques for a home owner to treat this area. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Side effects may include but aren’t limited to 1.) Cancer 2.) Emphysema 3.) Death of your cats and/or dogs 4.) Death of a loved one or thyself 5.) Severe anal leakage 6.) More cancer but all of these possibilities are by far outweighed by the piece of mind of not having those creepy ass spiders
Treatments for bedbugs should be done every 7-10 days until you can go 30 days without any signs of activity. Please take a few moments to review our treatment articles/videos on How to Get Rid of Bedbugs for a successful program. www.domyown.com/how-to-get-rid-of-roaches-a-458.html
Talstar has a long residual, so it keeps on killing pests for over three months after you've sprayed it. Make sure to follow the instructions on the product label for it, though. www.domyown.com/msds/Talstar_P_Professional_Insecticide_Label_2020.pdf
Tenacity is labeled for crabgrass and should kill it when applied according the label. However, do not apply Tenacity when air temperature exceeds 85 degrees. What most of our customers do is apply in a cooler part of the day and wait for it to dry. As long as it's had time to dry, it shouldn't cause turf burn. Keep in mind, Tenacity Herbicide may cause temporary whitening of turfgrass foliage as it's killing your weeds. Please note it is not labeled for many warm-season turf grasses, please read what grass it's labeled for here on Page 8 www.domyown.com/msds/Tenacity_Herbicide_Label_2020.pdf
what if you are doing more than one gallon? like for roaches, it says 1 packet per 1 gallon. So if i was doing 2 gallons, would I put both packets in a gallon of water and then shake and add the other gallon?
Yes, you are correct! Just make sure there are 2 gallons of water if you're doing two. Per label, you are to dilute 1-2 envelopes Demon WP Insecticide per gallon water. So, if it takes 2 gallons water to cover 1000sq feet, we recommend to mix 2 envelopes in the two gallons water.
Hi, I just have one confusion. After applying roach bait, where exactly should I apply the concentrated roach spray and after how long? Same place as roach bait? My confusion is, how does the bait and spray work together, wouldn’t the spray interfere with the bait?
You really should not apply your roach bait gel in the same areas where you are spraying, as the spray can contaminate the bait. You won't have to wait to apply the spray, as long as you don't apply in the same place as the bait. The general rule of thumb is to "spray low and bait high." You will spray along baseboards, in cracks and crevices, underneath appliances, and areas where plumbing meets the wall. Bait should be applied mainly in locations where you typically would not want to spray anyway, such as in cabinets and drawers and underneath countertops. Using both together won't compete, as long as you are applying in different places. Roaches get into everything, multiply rapidly, and can survive for several months without food and up to two weeks without water. We also have a guide we wrote on how to get rid of roaches with some product links here www.domyown.com/how-to-get-rid-of-roaches-a-458.html We recommend the use of an IGR, which is like birth control for roaches so they don't keep breeding. Our roach control kits have that in them and we recommend Roach Control Kit A to get started www.domyown.com/roach-control-kit-rotation-p-14107.html
We are so sorry this was confusing!! We recommend Drive XLR8 for your zoysiagrass lawn. It has the active ingredient listed www.domyown.com/drive-xlr8-herbicide-crabgrass-killer-p-1520.html
@@SSgtBigSwole When used according to the label, Drive XLR8 won't kill your grass. However, to avoid any turf damage, Drive XLR8 should be applied when temperatures are between 65-85 degrees. It would be best to apply in the early morning or in the evening so that the product has sufficient time to dry before temperatures get above this range. Drive XLR8 needs to be mixed with a MSO surfactant mentioned in the video to work the way it should. Our pro pick is Duo Stick Select www.domyown.com/prime-source-duo-stick-p-12239.html Here's a link to the label as well: www.domyown.com/msds/Drive_XLR8_Herbicide_Crabgrass_Killer_LAbel_2022.pdf
I live in Tennessee, we have very humid and tropical weather here with lots of bugs and mosquitoes, I bought one of those and sprayed my yard as per instructions, waited four days, didn't notice any change in bugs and mosquitoes activity. Useless product.
I use the foam for our wood termite that fly into our home every year---you just drill a hole, use the foam--and then use wood dough to fix the hole and they are stopped.
The rate at which Barricade 4FL is applied is dependent on your grass type. It is applied at 0.5 - 1.1 oz per 1000 square feet for warm-season grasses and 0.23-0.70 oz per 1000 square feet for most Cool Season Grasses. For 16,000 sq foot, you need more than 4 fl oz.
Funny that you didn't show your thumb raising the strike bar as you tried to get the latch inside it's holding place. Isn't that kind of the point of the video to show what's going on?
We purchased a home that had combat bait traps. We were still seeing roaches. I applied Combat bait and we had many dead ones, but still were invested and had roaches crawling the walls. I saw a video on Alpine and ordered the Alpine. It came a few days later. I applied the bait after we had the cleaning service clean the house. We saw some dead ones lying around. Then we saw several live ones one night. About 7 days after application of Alpine. Then I put some peanut butter mixed with boric acid on duct tape. I was expected to see a lot of roaches stuck to the duct tape. To my surprise, I did not see one roach or baby roach stuck to the duct tape. We also did not see any live ones either. My guess is the Alpine worked, but just took some time to get all of them. I am a believer in Alpine because I saw it work myself.
