3:08 no. it depends on the nature of the thing you try to burn. take a blue shirt, try to burn it with a blue laser, and then try to burn it with a red laser (the same power). the red will burn it faster. and most materials we encounter everyday reflect alot of red light (and this reflecting significantly increases for near ir light) also 3:23 wrong for the same reason (take a UV 355nm laser and take a blue 455nm laser at the same power output, you wil see that the UV laser will burn faster, and also because absorbtion).
0:27 no. it's that your skin barely absorbs it, not "absorbs most of it" your skin transmits most of it,its (not really) transparent to this wavelength (and it gets more transparent the more we move into the near IR))
awesome i have the 7w sanwu striker and the 1w sanwu but wanted an edc laser defense device plus have 3 convoy s21a allready...will put thrym swirchback on to pocket carry and ill be g2g
Thanks for your comment its 445nm the reason it looks like that is beacuse i adjusted the camera settings otherwise you would not have been able to see anything because of the intense light the laser produces
Hello, I'm thinking of doing such a project, I will mount it in a 3W laser diode pen, will the Duracell AAA battery be enough and can I provide sufficient cooling?
Thanks for your comment with all the respect if you are askin for afdvice you are probaly not ready yet to build such a difficult project and yes Duracell might be enough but it sure will drain the battery in like half a minute
@@Fjlasers Thanks for your response, I'm still gathering information on the components needed for this project, I think I'm going to buy a bigger laser pointer and build it for
@@St._George super good idea such a small pen even with a 2 watt diode is not the best for burning look for a bigger host if you need suggestions let me know!
I can't tell what the laser's detail for details look like from the distance away you're holding it from the camera. How about a very close up visual of it from end to end ,slowly turning it around&round for people to see all the details it has.
@@Futurecoder1 405 is purple wich is 405nm This Green is 520nm The close the nanometer is to 555nm the more visserbility you Will get out of the same power output So the purple or uv cooler would have to be thousands if not millions of watts to outshine this
@Fjlasers what I did was I ordered a new lens for the laser, which I am still waiting for my new lengs to come, but do I really have to return my hole laser back? Because sanwu told me that all need is a needle nose tweezer
Do you actually need to put the goggles on when you are pointing it outside? i got the Challenger 2 6w, so i am just wondering. Also, i got the bright blue version.
@@Fjlasers You are welcome. If the fitting is loose and you want to increase contact of the inner billet with the outer shell, then use non-insulated aluminium foil or copper foil to wrap around it while applying a thin layer of thermal grease between each layer and compressing as tightly as possible.
