I took my brother and his wife on the Bar Harbor Whale Watch the summer before last, and we had the best time ever! It was a wonderful adventure and we witnessed everything you talk about. The funny thing is that we grew up in Northeast Harbor, just around the bend from Bar Harbor. We spent our childhood exploring our island, but never did the whale watching tour until we were all in our 60’s. I live in Oklahoma now, but still try to visit my home on the island about once each year. It is my favorite place on earth.
Hello from far away. I fell in love with Bangor when my son moved there in 2019, alas, he just moved to Southern California. I still visit Bangor often for the SK connection and to relax and regroup to visit Mt Desert. I come to paint landscapes. I paint in many places. Word gets around that a place has new programs, services, actually advertises to socially marginalised to come there. Same reason for the border crises/migrant crises when the current administration basically said "come on in," and threw all the immigration laws and procedures out the window. No good deed goes unpunished and people will take advantage. Sorry I don't know if there is a solution but we have to be smarter with the way we deal with social issues beyond altruism. Altruism (with other people's money) may assuage guilt for some folks in government, but it will not help in the long term and it will open up a host of other problems like crime and out of control drug use, et al. Lucky for me I was born poor, raised poor and still am, so I have no guilt. BTW, I stay at "legitimate" campsites when I drive up. Love you Bangor and Acadia National Park! See you soon!

Yeah the city of Bangor has a homeless problem.. We need more mental health programs and programs to get them off the streets of downtown Bangor. But the problem is they don't want the help. Kendukeage Avenue, has always been a major problem 😢😢😢 Last year when they were cleaning up ,they found the body of a new born .Plus there was thousands of needles on the ground 😢😢😢
The thing about a traditional Irish breakfast is that there is no tradition. Everywhere in Ireland is different. And BTW. a one egg breakfast is pig slop I wouldn't feed to my pigs.
Just go to any Rasta bar in Thailand and be nice and friendly and you won’t have any issues finding exactly what you need. Literally. You really don’t need the name of a specific place. Enjoy.
