Paul, do you know anything about why we would be having an issue with the audio glitching during a video? Almost like its buffering. We've noticed this with short 2 min videos or less and all the way up to our 15 min intermission video we did that mostly has video portions with welcome/announcements throughout it to give the media teams a break during that time. What we've noticed is the sound keeps cutting in and out. We've replaced the audio cables thinking it may have been a short but that hasn't changed anything. Thanks!
I have a video that is 2 minutes. It has a 6 second intro with text flying in and stops on screen, then sits there the rest of the time with a motion background. Can I tell the video to loop after that from the 6 seconds so I don't have to make the video 10 minutes long?
It is not illegal to rip movies - you can still make 'backup' copies of any media, as long as you don't distribute it or accept money to show it. What's illegal is breaking copy protection, which Handbrake won't do. (use MakeMKV instead)
what about for multiple different views on the fly? if I am on a blank slide that has a macro with different looks for 3 outputs, I can't use bible on the fly because it doesn't adjust all 3 outputs.
@@rickycarter6433 it should (and I show it doing so, I think). If it doesn’t, make sure the themes have the right text boxes (for example, make sure visibility isn’t set to off for all the text boxes that aren’t linked text).
@@PaulClifford yes sir, you did show how it worked for you. However, I have not had that luck in the past. I haven’t done it in a while so I will try with the new update.
I also recommend going into the list of books and hovering your mouse over Isaiah or Psalms since a lot of preachers (at least at my church) like to cite it. If they cite a passage from the NT I just scroll all the way down which will put my mouse really close to the NT books. Why? It is mush easier to find books in the NT than in OT since they are cited much less.
I just wish you can play subtitles! As for being illegal to rip a DVD if the computers still shipped with the drives and software would support play back, then people wouldn't need to rip it.
@@timothystubs4629 also true. I’m not 100% clear if you can do it with specific written permission from the copyright holder, but you’d AT LEAST need that.
Can I add slides from another song to this arrangement. For instance, building a mashup of two songs by adding the bridge of another song to this song, then back to this songs chorus and end?
So do I, BUT my point was that it's a prerequisite for playing a disc and if you don't have one, the rest doesn't matter until you get one...whether you're on Mac or Windows.
I have just started using ProPresenter in my Catholic Parish, and this video has been very helpful. Previously, we used Keynote. For notation, it was easier. We have a large sanctuary with large screens. I use notation sparingly, but I use at least one or two slides each Sunday. I make my own images in Dorico Pro (Finale, Sibelius, Musescore, and LillyPond work too), so I have total control on the size and cropping of my notation images and lyrics. I used to export them as PDF files when I used Keynote, because I could import the PDF into Keynote (like line art) and there is no loss of quality when resizing. ProPresenter does not seem to have that option, but I wonder if there is a workaround?? Currently, I am exporting the images as transparent PNGs with no background for ProPresenter. I place the image over a white box. I have tried using white notation over the black background in my church, but I find it is not easier to read at all.
I figured this problem out on my own. For my psalm refrains, I select the refrain PDF as the chord chart (already cropped to size) and then insert a shape (rectangle) into the slide, and set the color fill to be the chord chart. It works beautifully!
I have PP 7.16.3. My CCLI information runs together without any spaces between each subject. I have tried to make the CCLI text box editable, but when I select the option it does nothing. Can you shed some light on how to make the CCLI text box editable?
According to RenewedVision (responding to my question), the only way to guarantee text goes into the right text box is to name the text boxes the same in the Slide and in the Theme. Without a matching name, It will try to use the order of the textboxes in the Object box, otherwise, but there are no guarantees. From my experiments, if either set of textboxes (theme or slide) has numbers in the names, e.g. Text 1, Text 2, Text 3... (and names don't match), it will try to use the number order, lowest to highest, to match them.
Actually, I did. I right-clicked and selected "new theme from selection" (and THAT created the theme) then I named it and clicked save. That was the whole process. ;)
It’s one of the concepts in propresenter that is harder for some people to get, that and layers. If you get both of those, you’ll be well on your way to understanding it. :-)
I can confirm that the issue lied in the naming and the order of the text boxes. In our church we display two bible translations (bilingual church) and Pro7 loved to change between the two languages in our lower third theme for the live stream. I made sure that the text box names and order matched between the two themes and it resolved our issue! Thanks!
Good evening Paul, I am facing an issue regarding an Urdu font specifically about a font called "Jameel Noori Nastaliq" in propresenter 7, The issue is it cuts off some of the text and sometimes completely changes it. This font was working fine with propresenter 6. Could you please help me regarding this?
Is if too many media background added (each around 100mb) in ProPresenter will make the software performance lagging? Or is it because too many song lyrics? (We have around 1000+ song lyrics on it).
Thanks for the info. One thing that I am having trouble with is the slides that I have I a rotation. In the past, all I needed to do was set the rotation time on the master and it would trigger the slave computer. That does not happen anymore. The way that I have had to get around it is putting both on the same time number, 10sec, but inevitably one begins to lag behind. Am I missing something?
I see you can add a video input as a PIP and place it in a corner. Is it possible to do a PIP and have it link to a current slide. Have the video as the primary display and the slider as a PIP. Presently lower third doesn’t always work for the text we have on the screen.
Paul, It's not the size of the text box that makes the difference. In both cases (6&8) the text box names match the names in the theme. That's why applying the theme doesn't change the order of the boxes. It's only when the names do not match AND the top/bottom arrangement doesn't match the z-order that there is a problem. To test what I'm saying, duplicate #5, then on the duplicate rename the boxes, then apply the theme. Best practice is to give each text box a different name, AND make the z-order match the top/bottom arrangement of the boxes. Size doesn't matter. Then do the same for the text boxes in your theme. That way neither Pro7 nor the operator will get confused about which is which.
