Eh we’ll come back for it lol he’s better than me I sometimes drop my cans I pick up in my rear loader and my workers I work with do the same thing but we get it out
Nice job Tristan! Loving these on route videos, hope all has been well. Do you ever get the chance to help out the Redondo Beach routes? You're opinion on the DP Rapid Rails Athens has been buying? Are they still purchasing them?
Thanks! Redondo is out of a different yard, so no. They're still buying them but I'd have to ask those who drive them to see what they think. But the reality is they'll handle all three streams better than Rapid Rails will.
Another great video, very cool. it's stupid, but a favorite part is the squeak from your camera mount 6:42 when you check it's holding after changing its position. Do you think you'd be able to mount a camera onto the box of the front load truck ("Mother truck")? It could be cool to see your truck backing up to it for unloading and seeing this box being emptied into the front load truck from the front box perspective. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! I have thought about trying to mount the camera to the trucks' boxes in the past, especially when we had contracts in which we used them exclusively for manual curbside waste collection. But the fear of the camera potentially falling into the hopper is what seemed to discourage me from doing so. If I'm able to purchase a newer model camera in the future, I'll try and attempt at that angle since this one being used currently is a 2018 model.
We started taking them since January 1, 2022. Our composting facility is able to process them, but unfortunately the facility where Burrtec takes their greens cannot at this time.
@@94tristen_thetrashman yeah buirtec tells us to throw them in the trash snf they dont want bubble wrap in the recycle burrtec is more i guess laid back on things other haulers no styro foam in recycle
@@Burrtectruckfinder217Looks like it’ll have to be Instagram message or email. I’m just finding out RU-vid deleted the message feature a couple years back lol
At the time of this contract, there was no source separated recycling. All of the city's trash was taken to our material recovery facility where workers and machines would do all the sorting, as required by law.
Very cool to see this process, did it take you longer to finish your route that day. Looks like a peaceful area to pull trash in lol. It's cool to see areas down there that have managed to slip through the cracks of the standard 3 cart system. Haha I couldn't imagine a Heil DP going through their lol.
