If it still has life?😂😂😂😂 a blown head gasket isn’t a death sentence for most vehicles and there not common and there definitely not common on a 4 cylinder😂
@@mvp3100for real lmfao those same cars that had the issues dont even have them anymore after subaru made a new gasket type. so many videos of cars with issues never actually seen a bad head gasket subaru in shorts or reels
So far I've done a little but but they're not really mods. I've done a full LED light conversion to every light, installed black headlights from the SE, and a black spoiler.
I found out that the Hybrids always sound like that when cold, and that's the gas ones make a much louder sound because the VVT-i problem is exclusive to the gas only model with the dual VVT-i system
I got it on eBay and it's from the Lexus NX. I found it for $15 online and for another $15 I found an eBay seller that was able to cut a mechanical key using a picture of my existing key.
Besides the Dynamic Island, the Action Button, USB-C, and a Titanium frame that 99.99% of people are going to keep covered with a case, there’s really no big difference worth upgrading for.
Hi, I like your in depth review about the camry. I have question, how is the state of health of the high voltage battery? Is it the original one since new? Thanks.
Yes, it is the original battery. I haven't used any apps yet to track the state of health of the battery but it's been 20k miles since purchase in late 2022 and the battery has been going strong. It charges up fast and still holds a charge really well. Every 6 months I've cleaned out the fan filter to make sure thr fan doesn't get dirty and the filter doesn't get clogged to keep the battery cool. I'm confident it'll go a really long time. One of my family members so has the exact same car as me but a 2014.5 with over 160k miles on it, and that battery is original and still holding up strong. They're definitely very reliable.
Yes! It has all of it standard with the exception of blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. The LED headlights are both automatic for the low and high beams as well!
we purchased the 2024 forester and it gets no where near the 26/33 MPG. If anybody knows of a class action litigation over this, let us know we wish to join.
What are your driving conditions like? Depending on your conditions, it could be very different than the EPA ratings. Subaru's typically are matched with or over the EPA numbers for fuel economy, but your driving habits and the tires equipped where you live can make a big difference.
Subaru has awesome safety features! I love them and have owned 4 of them. However, the large infotainment screen is not safe. It forces you to take your eyes off the road to change settings. Kind of like texting while driving. Not cool.
I agree with this. They need to put in like an HUD or something to make up for it. Or make the screen smaller. Android Auto and CarPlay doesn't even take up the whole screen anyway (or at least the part that the HVAC doesn't cut into)
Yeah it bothered me too, Unfortunately at the Auto Show, Subaru had their background stuff extremely loud (loud enough that you can hear from the opposite end of the hall), and there were a lot of people around talking so it was hard to get good audio. Subaru did everything they could to promote themselves, including loud background audio. The only way I can interpret it is, "That's one marketing strategy."
Correct, and I believe the interior lights might be incandescent as well, although Subaru offers an LED lighting kit as a dealer installed accessory but only for those interior lights.
Congratulations Mr. Pilot and Mrs. Rav4, you have just given birth to a Forester. What's happening with car designers this days? Everybody is making almost the same cars.
The left one is real, but the right one is the same metal tip but welded to the real one for decoration. The funny part is that they can very easily have cut a hole that make both of them function. That dual tip also is friction fit slide on slide off like the single tip on the XLE and the older Camry models like the 2012-2017 models. So technically I can get this tip and slide it onto my 2013.5 which would be weird.
I've never driven the pop, but yours sounds very powerful smooth and responsive when you accelerated ! I definitely want one. Even the cold engine starts were solid. It would have to be a manual like yours.
@@RoccoReviews Nero Puro (Straight Black) · Granito Lucente (Granite Crystal) · Electric Orange Tri-Coat Pearlcoat · Argento (Silver) · Bianco Perla (Pearl White Tri-Coat) ... I have the argento silver. I like the name of your color. Granito lucente, your dash goes good with black.
@eLuigiArizona thanks! I like Argento Silver too, especially on the 500e Sport with the black accents it looks cool. I want to get the half Avorio half Grigio seat skins (or covers) for the interior to match the Avorio body stripe.
Yeah '25 they removed it. It was such a nice feature too. They also removed it off the '24 Impreza/Crosstrek. Given that the '25 Forester is on the same platform as the old one, the old headrests will probably fit, but it would be nice if it came that way from the factory. Maybe the base model will have it. I guess we'll have to find out when it makes it to dealer lots.
I vouch for subarus safety, they are incredibly safe. I was driving like takumi fujiwara on mountain road listening to eurobeats in my 03 legacy but I drove way too fast and couldnt make the corner and I flipped my car and got away with no injuries. I would 100% buy another subaru and I am currently looking at brzs
Thanks for sharing your story and it's great that your Legacy kept you safe! Do note (and I'm sure you already know this) that the BRZ is very different from a normal Subaru in the safety department. No AWD and no EyeSight.
I love Toyota’s. Have had great luck with them. Do you know how to reset the passenger side air bag on the 2024 Toyota Camry XLE. It keeps blinking! I can’t figure it out and don’t want to go back to dealership. I just bought the car yesterday. Your help would be appreciated.
I've not had that issue before, I would take it back to the dealer because you have the warranty. They need to give you a loaner also free of charge. Also are you sure that's the airbag or the seatbelt?
@southerngirl773 I just thought of this now, try disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery first if you haven't already and see if that fixes it.
I know some of them came equipped with the JBL sound system which has a separate amplifier to power the speakers. If your hybrid has the base system, the head unit would power the speakers. Maybe that’s why the sound doesn’t work?
That's probably why, although it doesn't say JBL on it, that screen was for the Premium Audio. They had the base audio which is what my car has, the premium audio whemich is where that screen came from, and the JBL audio which is the only with the flip out CD changer. The premium audio and regular audio are not the same, I guess the premium audio probably has an amplifier like the JBL sound system too.
Informative video! I have driven the same Toyota Avalon for 17 years . Technology has changed drastically! I purchased a 2024 Camry XLE that will arrive in 3 days. A video on all the tech features/ instrument panel would be helpful. START/STOP feature seems strange to me!! Thank You
@@southerngirl773 the 2024 4-cylinder doesn't have it on the Camry! It has auto brake hold on the XLE, which holds the brakes for you, but no auto shutdown. Besides the Hybrid. The RAV4 has auto start-stop, though.
That connector that was left unplugged, didn't have a spot to plug in on the new unit. Only the vase headunit has that plug. I looked all over and unfortunately it didn't have it.
I do talk a bit about reliability but this was more of an update. Nothing major has gone wrong with it since my last update way back in 2021, so I didn't talk about it much. I'm going to be making a short pure sound video on it this weekend, so I'll use that as an opportunity to talk about reliability a bit. To spoil it a little though, I've only had to replace the drivers side CV axle due to age, and just replaced the spark plugs. Getting the transmission fluid changed very soon.
Definitely! When I have the opportunity to make a video on the new CRV, I'll talk about the room a bit. And once I'm able to get my hands on a Forester to drive, I'll go into detail with all the head and legroom figures.
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video it was very informative including the after of what a subaru looking like after an crash
I gave your video a chance, but you have given absolutely no information within the first 1m 30 seconds. All I know is that Subaru is apparently safe... 🤷♂️
It's definitely grown on me since I've uploaded this video. I'm about to check it out at the LA Auto Show in a couple of days, so I'm reserving full judgement until I get there and see it in person. I will also film that experience and upload it as well.
Only the XSE and XLE models have brake hold, unless you get a Hybrid then all of the Hybrid models have it. It would be on on the blank panel above the drive mode buttons. It only works with the electronic parking brake and the LE and SE gas trims don't have that so they don't have brake hold.
You get the Electronic Brake Hold on the 2024 Toyota Camry SE AWD. It is located in front of the Electronic Parking Brake toggle switch on the console.
