We had this as our wedding first dance song, it's such a beautiful song, it resembles everything in a loving relationship - love, hope, commitment & and promise. I love my wife ❤️
Jessie’s gone and done it now. She fell for Lestat after watching MTV. Every woman at the concert wanted him so she came up with being smarter and a bit sassy which we know he’d fall for.
This song was originally written for the movie Romeo and Juliette starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. That's the only reason the song was not nominated for an Oscar. Otherwise, it would have won easily. There's no way the R & J version could have approached the beauty of this version. I watch the movie at least twice a year. Bonus: Watch the ice-skating routine by Tessa Virtue and Scott Moyers from Canada scored to music from Moulin Rouge on RU-vid. I used to watch it over and over -- now only a few times a month lol. If you've never seen it, get ready for major goosebumps!
This is so beautiful! I never really knew either of them could sing, much less this well. Makes me greatly regret never having a love this intense. Probably never will, because at 74 it is hard find a man anywhere near my age that wants a woman of 74.😢
Moulin Rouge was amazing. The choirs, singing and choreography. Truly clever how they changed songs and made them different. All the actors/actresses were fantastic. Best Musical ever, for me anyway
This was the first dance song at my wedding, I adore my wife and we both absolutely love this song , but it's also very emotional as I had just lost my mum to cancer a few days before the wedding.
Will always love this movie. Will always love the music; I especially will always love this song. Truly a masterclass of film and storytelling. The emotional rawness and earnestness of this film is immaculate.
My husband proposed to me after watching this in theatre back in 2001. We danced to this song to our wedding in 2002. My Mum asked to borrow this song to play for my father's wake today. I came home listening to it. This song have always special place in my heart as a happy one. But today, it totally broke me hearing it. I heard it differently today and it absolutely broke my heart.
Sweetie, I am so sorry. Please remember it was never pain or trauma that brought you to tears when hearing this song today - or any day from now. It's love, and your capacity to love that overwhelms you. It's a wonderful thing that should never be shunned for fear of tears. I hope you keep this song in your heart.
